Looking strangely like Hilary Duff, country diva Carrie Underwood graces the September issue of Allure magazine.

Inside the mag, the American Idol alum gets candid about her love life.

Here are some highlights:

Carrie on dating when you’re famous: “You never really know why somebody wants to be around you, or if they do genuinely like you. I wish everyone had a label on their forehead so you could automatically tell their intentions. Sometimes you just wish that no one wanted anything from you.”

Carrie on her brief romance with Chace Crawford: “We didn’t have a fight. No one cheated. It plain didn’t work.”

Carrie on staying in touch with ex-flame Tony Romo: “We were both small town people doing very big things, and we relied on each other, dealing with fame. I don’t know. The phone will ring and it’ll be him, and I’ll maybe not answer.”

Carrie on her reservations about opening up to people: “I don’t want to name names, even though he probably deserves it, but he fooled around. Oh, yeah, and lied! It was one of those things that everyone knew but me. He was a good liar. Nobody would come out and tell me. And he seemed perfect in every way. I’m sure we’ve all run into these people, whether they’re friends, boyfriends or girlfriends.”

American Idol champ Carrie Underwood helped open up the 50th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night with a high energy performance of her chart topping hit Before He Cheats.

In an attempt to play with the big girls of Top 40 pop music, the blonde-haired country music superstar threw on some skimpy short-shorts matched with a pair of sparkly knee-high boots more expected from the likes of Hilary Duff.

Carrie Underwood finally manages not to look like icing on a wedding cake as the country bumpkin arrives to the 50th annual Grammy Awards at L.A.’s Staples Center on Sunday.

The 24-year-old American Idol alum looked fresh and modern in a floral frock straight off the Zuhair Murad runway from New York Fashion Week.

Carrie was one of the few mainstream stars to go onstage to accept a Grammy during the pre-show ceremony. After winning Best Female Country Vocal Performance for Before He Cheats, she said, “You couldn’t keep me from actually getting this myself. It’s not the same” when somebody else accepts on your behalf. She went on to thank God, family, friends, AI creator Simon Fuller and “everyone at American Idol for bringing me to this point. I certainly wouldn’t be singing at all anywhere if it weren’t for that show.”
