It may be surprising to hear, but Brooke Shields wasn’t feeling too confident wearing the bikini the Shape fashion team picked out for her for the special breast cancer October issue cover. (On the mag’s back cover, she sports a tank top.)
Despite a healthy regimine and regular workouts, she was worried because of recent bunion surgery. “I was worried about getting out of shape and gaining weight after the surgery. So just as I did with my pregnancies, I decided to go into it at my physical best.” For the 43-year-old actress, that meant putting the pedal to the metal when it came to her exercise routine to preemptively drop a few lbs before her operation.
So, how did she do it? “Spinning is the only way I ever lose weight. It’s purely about keeping my heart rate up and burning calories.” Now, two months after surgery, she’s gained 9 pounds. “That was a little more than I’d hoped, but by giving myself that cushion, I know I’ll get back into shape pretty quickly once I can start Spinning again.”

Small screen stunner BROOKE SHIELDS goes high fashion in an off-white J. Mendel creation at the 2007 Glamour Magazine Women of the Year Awards in Beverly Hills. Meanwhile, Weeds star MARY-LOUISE PARKER kept it characteristically quirky by pairing the couture frock with a bold pair of white strappy sandals at the 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles.

Tom Cruise and one-time enemy Brooke Shields have buried the hatchet, or so it seems, as the two were reportedly seen dining together in Sin City, Las Vegas with their spouses.
Tom and his wife, Katie Holmes, were seen at SW Steakhouse at Wynn with Brooke and TV writer husband Chris Henchy, reports Page Six.
Later, Tom, who had earlier slammed Brooke for taking pharma drugs to counter postpartum depression, accompanied the group to a private gaming room.
TomKat and their daughter Suri were also present at first birthday celebrations of Brooke’s daughter, Grier.
And, yes, it’s a painfully slow news day. Bear with me, people.
