It was a union of single-named singers as our photogs caught up with
Tyrese and
Brandy chumming around at Westfield Mall in Century City, CA on Sunday.
Rocking an insane pair of thigh-revealing torn jeans, Brandy and her R&B crooner shopping companion were all smiles until the moment they realized snappers were watching their every move.
Tyrese and Brandy battled engagement last year when reports surfaced suggesting that Tyrese proposed to Brandy at his baby mama’s (Norma) baby shower. After effortlessly redefining the term “tacky”, Brandy’s spokesman, Courtney Barnes, cleared things up and said that when Tyrese got down on bended knee, he proposed to his baby mama, Norma, and not to the Moesha star.
Has the rapper-turned-action star have a change of heart?

Birthday girl Lil’ Kim enjoyed a night out on the town with on-again, off-again beau Ray J in New York City last night.
Chaperoned by Ray J’s big sister Brandy, the loved up couple hit the clubs in what is seemingly her umpteenth birthday celebration.
Meanwhile, the body of Ingrid Rivera, a woman who had been missing since attending Lil’ Kim’s birthday party over the weekend, was found yesterday on the roof of the building where the party took place. She had suffered a head wound and other injuries.
A rep for Kim says: “Lil’ Kim mourns the death of Ms. Rivera. She knew nothing of this incident until she heard media reports.”
Clearly.

After a slew of no-shows, Britney Spears arrived for her deposition in her custody case at the office of Kevin Federline’s attorney in Los Angeles today.
She is expected to be interogated about her past drug and alcohol use, her apparent failure to follow court orders and anything pertaining to her parenting skills.
This oughta take a while!!!

This just in: R&B songstress Brandy will not be charged with vehicular manslaughter following the fatal car accident she was in last year.
Spokesman Nick Velasquez said there was “insufficient evidence” for a jury to find her guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
As you may recall, back on December 30, 2006, Brandy struck another vehicle from behind on an L.A. freeway, while driving her 2007 Land Rover at 65 mph, causing a chain reaction involving a total of four vehicles, including hers. Awatef Aboudihaj, a married mother of two, died in the accident.
No surprise here. Another celeb gets away with murder.
Hyde, anyone?
UPDATE: Brandy’s lawyer has issued a statement to TMZ: “We are extremely pleased that after a more thorough and extensive investigation by authorities, the Los Angeles City Attorney has determined that Brandy Norwood should not be charged with any crime whatsoever relating to the accident back in 2006.
“These past 12 months have posed an extraordinary hardship for Brandy and her family, who have been unfairly forced to live under a cloud of suspicion initially caused by the ill-advised and premature press release sent out by the California Highway Patrol accusing Brandy of wrongdoing before the police investigation was even finished. However, Brandy continues to be mindful that she was so fortunate to be uninjured in this accident and there was a life lost that should be remembered.”

Well, well, well. Look who crawled out from under the rock she’s been hiding under for months.
Despite facing four lawsuits for her involvement in a car crash that killed a 38-year-old mother, R&B songstress Brandy was all smiles (and occasional looks over her shoulder) as she made her way inside the Montemarte Lounge in Hollywood for Benny Boom’s annual pre-BET Awards party — apparently, she’s been dying to get out.
