Proving that he’s a true fan’s movie star, Brad Pitt spent over 30 minutes meeting and greeting with fans as he arrived at the Burn After Reading premiere held at Roy Thomson Hall during the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival.
Joined by his costars John Malkovich and Tilda Swinton, the 44-year-old actor was all smiles as he made a slew of wisecracks about pal George Clooney who was seemingly missing in action despite being seen earlier today at the Milan Airport en route to Toronto.
Meanwhile, Brad’s lady love Angelina Jolie stayed behind at their French chateau to care for their newborn twins, born in July, and their four other children.
Angie’s absence isn’t the talk of the film festival; it’s Brad’s possible run-in with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, who is going to promote her new movie Management, starring Steve Zahn and Woody Harrelson.

A solo Brad Pitt was seen departing from Marseille, France to attend the 33rd Toronto International Film Festival today.
Sans Angelina Jolie, the 44-year-old actor will be in T.Dot to promote Burn After Reading, his new Coen Brothers comedy with George Clooney.
The burning question at this year’s festival is: Will Brad cross paths with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
Though she’s not scheduled to arrive until next week, Aniston will be talking up Management, a romantic comedy in which she’s wooed by Steve Zahn and Woody Harrelson.
Burn After Reading premieres tonight. Stay tuned for premiere pics and, of course, if any awkward encounter of the exes takes place!

Brad Pitt and his daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt were seen departing from Mandelieu Aiport in Cannes today.
It seems their departure was delayed due to a slight electrical problem.
Meanwhile, it appears Brad saved a fan after he fell in a lake in Venice over the weekend.
The big screen hunk, who was attending the Venice Film Festival, agreed to sign autographs for a group of young fans, when one of them failed to cope with the excitement and slipped and fell into the lake.
Using his quick wits that he learned in some of his action flicks, Brad cast aside the autograph book and grabbed the fan, thus preventing a death in Venice. And once the wet teenager was back on dry land, Brad finished signing their tat.
What a man!

Just as they arrived, Brad Pitt and sons Maddox and Pax were spotted in a water taxi in Venice today, likely heading out of town and back to France.
Brad and George Clooney star in Burn After Reading which had its premiere earlier this week out of the competition at the Venice Film Festival.
Variety panned the “sophomoric snarky” movie saying it “feels misjudged from the opening scene and thereafter only occasionally hits the right note.”

Accepting a year late, Brad Pitt won the Coppa Volpi award for best actor at the Venice International Film Festival for his role in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
An utterly shocked Brad kept his thank-you speech short and sweet. “It was an honour to receive this last year and it’s an honour to receive it this year,” he said. “Thank you very much.”
As for Brad’s hip attachment du jour, George Clooney, who was in the audience offering support? The mistress of ceremonies reportedly raised a yellow flower and said, “This is for your friend George.”

After going casual earlier today during the film’s photocall, mega hunks Brad Pitt and George Clooney dressed to the nines as they attend the Opening Ceremony and Burn After Reading film premiere during the 65th Venice Film Festival held at the Sala Grande in Venice, Italy today.
Crowds went bananas as the handsome twomsome hit the red carpet together to promote their Coen brothers-directed tale about idiots — and what happens when their worlds collide.
Meanwhile, during a press conference earler in the day, Brad got all flustered as a Spanish TV journalist pushed her way to the front of the press conference dressed in red gym shorts similar to garb he wears as a gym trainer in the film. She asked him if he would help her work out.
“It’s a movie,” Brad reminded her.
“Would you run after me?” she asked.
George interjected with laughter: “I think we’re more likely to be running away from you!!!”

You know we can’t resist a Brad Pitt photo.
Last night, he and BFF George Clooney hit the Not On Our Watch benefit, held on Venice’s Giudecca island, to aid victims in the Darfur region of Sudan and the cyclone in Myanmar.
And here he is today at a photo call for new movie Burn After Reading, starring Tilda Swinton, Frances MacDormand, Brad and George.
On display at the photo call was some endearing buddyhood between the two good friends, with George often fielding questions asked to Brad, and vice versa.
First, a male reporter from Brazil asked: “I have a question, it’s very important. What do you think it’s (sic) better … to win an Oscar or to fall in love with a beautiful woman here in Venice?”
George quickly quipped: “Brad, don’t answer that!”
The a female reporter from a Hong Kong TV channel queried: “I want to know how the twins are doing. Are they looking more and more like you and Angie?”
“The twins are fine,” Clooney chipped in again.
Gorgeous George too got his share of personal questions. “Any plans to settle down and have children yourself,” asked a British journalist.
“I am so surprised to hear that question. That is honestly the first time I’ve been asked that question. I am getting married and having children today. Brad?” George deadpanned. “And until then I’ll be sharing mine with him. I’ll have two more by next year,” Brad quickly added.

No surprise here — with Angelina Jolie back in in the South of France with the rest of the couple’s brood, Brad Pitt opted to take BFF George Clooney as his date to the Not On Our Watch charity gala held at the Hotel Cipriani in Venice today.
Taking the term “bromance” to the next level, the Burn After Reading costars rocked similar black and white attire as they graciously worked the press line.
Brad, George and their pals have staged such top-ticket galas at a host of film festivals around the world; their one-year-old charity has raised more than $7 million to help victims of humanitarian crises and disasters.

Look who’s arriving in Venice!
Brad Pitt and sons, 7-year-old Maddox and 4-year-old Pax, were spotted taking a water boat today from Marco Polo Airport in Venice in advance of the 65th Venice Film Festival, which opens tomorrow.
His partner Angelina Jolie remains in South of France with the rest of the couple’s brood, including newborn twins Vivienne and Knox.
The do-gooding father is slated to appear tonight at a fundraising event for his charity, Not On Our Watch. Then he will return to the red carpet tomorrow when the Coen brothers film Burn After Reading opens the 65th edition of the festival, which runs through September 6. (No word yet whether Angie will join him.)
Not On Our Watch has raised more than $7 million to help victims both of the humanitarian crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan and the cyclone in Myanmar, also known as Burma.
The charity, which was launched last year by Brad and some of his Ocean’s Thirteen colleagues, uses their star appeal to bring attention to human rights abuses.

“Several Hollywood sources” have reportedly confirmed that Brad Pitt photographed Angelina Jolie and the kids at their chateau in the South of France last week for the November cover of W.
This would mark the second time W has scored a prized Jolie-Pitt exclusive.
As you may recall, the mag ended months of speculation when Brad collaborated with photographer pal Steven Klein to create a photo portfolio of him and his lady love in the feature “Domestic Bliss” shown here in the July 2005 issue.
Stay tuned for a sneak peek of the cover….if it’s true, of course!
