Matthew McConaughey is People’s new ‘Bachelor of the Year.’

They interview his mom and find out about life in that airstream trailer. But he’s far from being the only hunk in the mag listing 2007’s Hottest Bachelors, which hits newsstands on June 15. People also has categories for Scruffy Guys with Sex Appeal, Sexy Smart guys, Funny Guys, Powerplayers and Lean, Green Sexymachines (”ecocrusaders”).

Is there anybody who is not on one of these lists?

Let’s take a look at just some of the people who made this year’s list.

Matthew Mcconaughey (is there a hot list (or gay man) that he isn’t topping lately?), Jake Gyllenhaal (the token non-threatening boy-next-door), Chris Evans (well deserved), Maksim Chmerkovskiy (who?), Ludacris (token black dude)

Kenny Chesney (token gay dude), Blake Lewis (his 15-minutes of fame aren’t up yet?), Adrien Grenier (don’t his blue eyes just make you melt?), Apolo Ohno (someone owes his publicist a big raise), Justin Timberlake (seriously? I mean, seriously??)

As expected, 17-year-old judges’ darling Jordin Sparks took home the top prize during last night’s ‘American Idol.’

When snoozer host Ryan Seacrest finally read the results — almost 10 minutes past the show’s allotted two-hour running time — both Jordin and Blake Lewis did their best to act surprised. Using her patented nervous/humbled look, the towering Jordin accepted a bearhug from Blake as she fumbled for words to express her joy. “I can’t thank you [enough] for keeping me around,” she said, her voice cracking. “Thank you so much for everything.” Very touching, indeed.

Admittedly, I couldn’t care less about ‘Idol’ since it seems each subsequent year is less and less talented. The only good thing that ever came out of that show is Kelly Clarkson. I personally couldn’t give two flying hoots about makeup queen Carrie Underwood, makeup queen Clay Aiken or any other wannabe from that show. ‘Idol’ is nothing more than an overhyped karaoke show. I’m the brilliant words of Paris Hilton, ‘I’m so over it.’
