Paris Hilton and her rocker beau Benji Madden are busy in her new recording studio (conveniently located in her Beverly Hills mansion), writing songs—including a theme for her upcoming MTV show My New BFF.
Says P.Dawg: “He’s helping me write the lyrics for the song and then I’ll sing it, too.”
Based on Paris trying to find a new best friend from a pool of 20 contestants, the show ended taping earlier this week and is set to air mid-September.

A surprisingly camera shy
Paris Hilton and her boyfriend
Benji Madden spent some time at his Hollywood store DCMA then headed over to the Kodak Theatre on Tuesday.
The tabloid starlet was in rare form as she kept her eyes downcast and for once acted as though she didn’t want her picture taken.
Quite a strange transition for the usually camera loving star, to say the least.
Could it be that Paris is trying to turn over a new, more demure, leaf?

After getting all glammed up for her masquarede ball over the weekend, it was a casual Paris Hilton who stepped out with boyfriend Benji Madden during a stroll through the streets of Hollywood on Monday.
After parading around the paparazzi for a few hours where she was grilled about gossip and online rumours, the I Wanna Be Paris’s New Best Friend! star/producer headed straight to her computer to blog about one certain tall tale.
“I read [that I was] walking by some puppies for sale, and demanding that I be given a Yorkie puppy to be an accessory for a photo shoot. I wasn’t looking for a new pet. I wasn’t even at a photo shoot that day. Puppies are not accessories or toys and I love my own pets dearly. I treat them as if they were my children.
It is sad that someone felt the need to invent a story about me throwing a fit for a dog that would ‘go with my outfit. These stories have gotten out of control.”
A pet store on Melrose Ave reportedly refused to let her have the animal – making Paris go “ballistic.”

Cartier held a glitzy launch event for their LOVE Charity Bracelet at a private residence in Los Angeles last night.
Among the celeb attendees were Janet Jackson and Nicole Richie. While Miss Janet accessorized her basic black ensemble with a newly sewed weave, mom-about-town Richie stayed true to her curtain couture look, donning an ill-fitting floral halter dress….yet again.
Since the Cartier LOVE bracelet was introduced more than 30 years ago, it has become one of the most coveted jewelry designs in the world and the ultimate symbol of love. Over the past two years, Cartier donated more than $2.24 million to sixteen global charities from the sales of its LOVECHARITY bracelet. The company aims to exceed last year’s donations as a number of new music ambassadors join the endeavor.
Other A-list invitees included Hilary Duff, Joel and Benji Madden, Eva Mendes, Emmy Rossum, Kimora Lee Simmons, Djimon Hounsou, Chloe Sevigny, Bridget Moynahan, Common and a busted and broken down-looking Fergie.

Paris Hilton and Benji Madden arrive at the 17th annual MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, CA on Sunday.
The inseperable couple hit the press line in matching black and white outfits.
As you may recall, it was only last year when Paris rocked a similar black frilly prom frock before going to jail.

Paris Hilton is all smiles as she arrives at Kate Somerville Medi Spa on Melrose Ave on Tuesday.
Miss Hilton entered the spa with one of her many dogs and returned holding skincare products to a waiting Benji Madden.
The couple then headed to the store which is owned by the Maddens, D.C.M.A Collective, on Melrose Avenue, where they were met by a bunch of Benji’s friends.
In the realm of making their duo a trio, Hilton told press that she has babies on the brain, and as soon as 2009, she hopes to be a mommy. “I do want a baby. Pretty soon. Not yet because I’m so busy, but next year.”
Paris and Benji can then start making play dates with Joel Madden and Nicole Richie. Isn’t that exciting?

Paris Hilton and Benji Madden try to prove “they’re just like us” by grabbing coffee and and then going on a shopping spree (surrounded by mere mortals) at the Beverly Glen Center in Beverly Hills on Sunday.
Decked out in head-to-toe Paris Hilton regalia (including a Paris Hilton emblazoned tanktop, Paris Hilton buckled belt and matching Paris Hilton hat), the self-promoting heiress and her rocker beau cruised the empty isles of the shopping center hand-in-hand as they pretended not to pose for the smattering of photogs who gathered.
Meanwhile, with his tour complete and her perfume promo campign wapped up, Paris will soon enter a mansion with 20 young hopefuls vying to be her new best friend in the upcoming MTV reality show, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF.
This is only the second time Paris has produced her own show. Her previous producing credit includes her famous skin flick, 1 Night in Paris, so you just know this one is gonna suck! (Pun fully intended.)

Paris Hilton does a little shameless self promotion as she leaves the Dorchester with boyfriend Benji Madden to dine at Langan’s Brasserie on Friday.
Meanwhile, it appears Miss Hilton’s boundless ego has suffered a severe bruising. The self-centred attention-seeker reportedly went head-to-head with Victoria Beckham in a fight for press attention yesterday — and the former Spice Girl won hands down.
The duo, who were launching new fashion lines, were battling for the attention of the paparazzi — and they all flocked to Victoria, who was in Harrods showing off her range of DVB jeans — while Paris was at Selfridges unleashing her new fragrance, Can Can.

Paris Hilton cooked up a storm upon her arrival at her Can Can fragrance launch party at the Dolce nightclub in London on Thursday night.
Welcomed by more paparazzi than fans, the celebrity perfumer and her double-chinned rocker boyfriend Benji Madden quickly slipped inside Brit celeb haunt after an aggressive altercation ensued when Paris shockingly didn’t offer photogs enough camera time.
First a few elbows were shoved. But before you know it, fists were flying, cops were called and it was an all out media melee.
Luckily the girl of the hour was unharmed and able to make it to her next destination — yet another soirée at Amika in Kensington High Street — without incident.

Lovebirds Nicole Richie and Joel Madden spent a romantic evening alone at their favourite sushi haunt in West Hollywood last night.
Miss Richie, who hardly spends any time out and about since the birth of her little girl Harlow, was a fashion force in a solid green dress paired with black tights, ankle boots and leather jacket. She is truly the beauty every rocker wants on his arm!
As they departed the celeb-friendly eater, Joel and Nicole grabbed hands and savoured every minute they have together.
