Mary-Kate and
Ashley Olsen are only the latest celebs to show up in Paris for Fashion Week.
The trendy twins were seen making their way to the department store Bon Marche Rive Gauche to launch their new clothing line, The Row.
Contrary to what was done under the name of their brand mary-kateandashley (which were mere derivative licensing deals with Claire’s, Walmart, etc), The Row is exclusivel led by the Olsen sisters. They also fully funded the project. No backing from billionaire bigwigs here! (Excluding MKA, of course!)
The collection is thoughtful, interesting and sophisticated. Ashley told reporters that her favourite piece was a smoking jacket which can also be worn as a dress.

It’s been weeks since we’ve seen Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen pictured together and now we know why!
Souces say there is a serious rift in their relationship as a result of their different work ethic.
“Ashley really wants to be a respected businesswoman and be taken seriously,” says the pal. “MK does too, but she hasn’t been willing to give up her lifestyle and act like an adult for their job.” So Ashley has taken a drastic step: distancing her twin from the couture end of their joint fashion empire. “Ashley came to a difficult decision. She decided that MK should not be involved with The Row,” says the insider. “She asked her sister to step back from her current responsibilities until she has her personal life together.” Instead, MK will focus on their more affordable line, Elizabeth and James, for which their roles were always less hands-on. “It’s tough because The Row was so much of Mary-Kate’s idea,” says the insider.
As a result of this move, torn leggings and stained worker shirts will no long be a part of The Row collection.

With their acting careers totally kiboshed, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are releasing what appears to be a cross between an autobiography and a picture book.
Available for pre-order now, Influence will be filled with never-before-seen photos from Ashley and Mary-Kate’s private collection, pages of original material by Ashley and Mary-Kate, and interviews with some of the most influential tastemakers in the world.
Influence comes in at a whopping 272 pages…..which just happens to make the book fatter than its authors.

We’ve already seen what the fabulous four rocked on the red carpet last night at the star-studded Sex and the City: The Movie premiere, but how did the guests and other castmates look?
After all, you just know they thought long and hard about what to wear to this fashionably historic NYC event.
SJP’s love interest and resident hunk Chris Noth was looking sharp in a beige suit, but all eyes were on his newly dyed ‘do.
Just For Men? Just…no.
R&B queen Mary J. Blige was decked out in summer white. She was joined by hubby and soulmate Kendu Isaacs.
Reformed convict Lil’ Kim added a splash (or in this case a tidal wave) of colour in a belted orange and pink cocktail dress.
We wanna hate, but we have nothing but love!
Oprah’s gal pal Gayle King was on trend in a floral frock with rose embellished cardigan.
Former Destiny’s Child songstress Michelle Williams made a rare public appearance at the A-list affair. The chruch singer has ditched her weave and looked magnificent in a bold purple number.
We’re sure this is some fancy big-name designer, but we’re just not feeling it. Who is Fergie trying to be anyway? Carrie Bradshaw? Try singing Barracuda in this frothy debutante dress.
Vogue editrix Anna Wintour hobbled out in a gorgeous blue ladies-who-brunch dress, but what’s up with the sunglasses at night? A last-minute botched procedure cover-up?
Last and certainly least, Ashley Olsen. The premiere had everyone decked out to the nines, but the poorly put-together gremlin looked like she had just woken up, threw on some designer clothes and was hurled on to the red carpet.
No effort. No thought. We expected more, Miss Olsen!!

An Olsen? In tennis shoes? Could it be?!?
A very casually dressed Ashley Olsen was spotted attending a meeting at the MGM Tower in Los Angeles yesterday.
Ashley recently made it to the top 40 on this year’s Maxim Hot 100 List while her more fashionable twin Mary-Kate was noticably left out.
So, is MK crying a river over not making the coveted list? Nah — Showtime recently threw her oversized hat into the ring as a potential Best Guest Actress nominee for this year’s Emmy Awards for her multi-episode stint on Weeds.

Proving that they’re fraternal twins (not identical), Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen looked very different as they attended the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday night.
While Ashley was effortlessly stunning and fresh-faced in a simple black number with sexy cut-outs, her allegedly more fahsion forward sister looked like a Gaelic street banshee in a way-too-gold gown.
Both dresses were custom designed by legendary designer Diane von Furstenberg. Go figure.

Following a brief fling in 2005, Ashley Olsen and Jared Leto were spotted holding hands at the Art of Elysium gala in L.A. earlier this week!
“They looked like a couple and they were making out,” a witness tells Us.But an Olsen insider denies the duo are back on: “They aren’t back together. They’re friends.”
Before hooking up with 36-year-old Leto, young Ashley was linked to 36-year-old cycling champ Lance Armstrong.

Part-time actress, full-time glam queen Rumer Willis gets heads turning as she arrives to The Art of Elysium 10th Anniversary Gala at Vibiana in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The event aimed to raise money for the nonprofit organization that pairs up hospitalized kids with artists, actors and musicians for creative escape.
In other words, amid an award season lacking ceremonies, it gave cause for celebs to do what they do best — get decked out in their finest gear and work the red carpet!

After dismissing requests and pleas to stop wearing fur and using it in their fashion collection, bone-thin twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are about to get some publicity that will have them running away faster than if they’d spotted a calorie.
PETA2, the world’s largest youth animal rights organization, plans to launch its “Trollsen Twins” campaign by unveiling an ad featuring images of fur fiends Mary-Kate and Ashley in the most unflattering photo that PETA2 could find. (Admittedly, not a huge feat.) The ad, which carries the tagline “Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People,” will be unveiled today at noon at the Olsens’ Walk of Fame star on Hollywood Boulevard.

It features a ‘Fatal Fashion’ animated dress-up game complete with animal skins and the accompanying blood; a mash-up video called ‘Full House of Horrors,’ in which footage from the twins’ former TV show Full House is interspersed with scenes in which animals are killed for fur; and information about actions visitors can take to get through to the ethically challenged 21-year-olds, whose hearts are apparently as nutrition-starved as the rest of their bodies.
Says peta2 Assistant Director of Youth Campaigns Dan Shannon: “No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs–especially when it belongs to someone else. These two are a couple of real lightweights when it comes to both taste and compassion.”
