What’s cuter than a photo of Anderson Cooper?
Simple. A photo of Anderson Cooper with TV’s Elmo in it.
The resident CNN sexpot was surrounded by a slew of stuffed muppets last night as he attended the 6th Annual Sesame Workshop Benefit Gala at Cipriani in New York City.
Feel free to coo away.

The news of the day may be Heath Ledger’s funeral, but already, some stars are reacting to the non-stop media coverage of the very reclusive actor.
Star Jones has written an editorial bashing the endless, salacious stories about the Heath’s demise, saying it made her “sick.”
Meanwhile, CNN’s Anderson Cooper announced on his blog that until there was actual news to report, he’d be staying away from the Ledger story. “I am not a fan of speculation, so unless there is something really new to discuss we probably won’t be covering it anymore anytime soon,” wrote Cooper.
And finally, responding to the Westboro Baptist Church’s plan to picket any Ledger funeral or memorial service to be held in the States, the Anti-Defamation League has just issued a statement saying the actor’s funeral “should be no place for haters.”
Kudos to all who stand up for something!

Check out the new issue of Out magazine featuring their first Gay Power list.
Great news for those like Ellen and Rosie who are out, but maybe not so much for Anderson Cooper and Jodie Foster who are the mag’s cover girls.
“It’s a bit of chutzpah on our part,” acknowledges Out editor in chief Aaron Hicklin. But he says it wasn’t just an attempt to stir up controversy. “The A-list and even B-list gays are mostly in the closet still, and those are the kinds of people we need to have on our cover. This is a way of addressing that.”
Meh, I don’t like it one bit. What one chooses to do in their bedroom has nothing to do with one’s profession. Shame on you, Out magazine. You are reaching a new Perez Hiltonian low.
