Emmy winner America Ferrera and Oscar nominee Ellen Page are among 10 young actresses who grace the cover of Vanity Fair’s annual Hollywood issue, on stands February 12.
The Hollywood “it” girls are joined by Emily Blunt, Amy Adams, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway, Alice Braga, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Banks and Ginnifer Goodwin.
Clothing from Dior by John Galliano was designed exclusively for the shoot.

The ‘Ugly Betty’ beauty was given The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard’s Hispanic Woman Of The Year Award.

America Ferrera better make room on her already packed trophy case.
The award-winning star of ‘Ugly Betty’ has just been named the Hispanic Woman of the Year.
The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard magazine will honour America and the 25 most powerful Hispanic women in film, television and music on October 9 at its inaugural Hispanic Women in Entertainment breakfast at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
In a statement issued just moments ago, a rep for Ms. Ferrera said: “It’s an honour to be in such esteemed company. And it’s a thrill to see talented women recognized for their work behind the camera.”

‘Ugly Betty’ has proven yet again she’s anything but — first-time nominee America Ferrera in a strapless blue frock with bronze beaded belt at the 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
Sure, she may not look quite as svelte as her recent Glamour magazine cover, but we love our America with all her curves — not a Photoshopped mock-up.

‘Ugly Betty’ star America Ferrera is a vision of Photoshop heaven on the cover of Glamour magazine’s new issue, on stands September 11. Inside, the Emmy-nominated actress talks about a number of topics, including how Hollywood seems to be moving away from what was once considered ideal when it comes to leading ladies.
“I’ve gotten scripts for romantic comedies sent to me that were originally conceived for a blond-haired, blue-eyed actress,” America tells Glamour. “At the end of the day, studios are learning there is a market out there that doesn’t necessarily want to go with predictable choices.”

After a successful first season full of awards and accolades, the ‘Ugly Betty’ gang joined star of the show America Ferrera last night at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles last night for the DVD launch.
During the celeb-filled event on Hollywood’s famed Sunset Strip, America told reporters: “I crack up the most, and I am kind of useless when I am behind the camera if anybody else is in front of the camera, because if they are doing something funny, I can’t contain it. I am the worst. I make them do like 50 takes.”
Those outtakes are part of the special bonus features included in the DVD set, which also takes a look at how to get “Bettyfied.”
Also on hand for the swanky shindig were Vanessa Williams, Rebecca Romijn, Eric Mabius, Ana Ortiz, who said that America was a surprise guest at her June 9th wedding to Noah Lebenzon.
The first season DVD of the award-winning series is on sale Tuesday and includes a number of behind-the-scenes features!

Check out the new
Mika video for the upcoming season of
‘Ugly Betty.’
The British singer talked with The Sun in the UK about re-recording his hit ‘Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)’ for the hit comedy, and he believes Betty is a “real fashion icon.”
At the very least, the video is a great reminder of America Ferrera’s incredible knack for physical comedy, which is often overshadowed by her great costumes.
