Amanda Peet says she is “truly sorry’ for using her recent comment in Cookie magazine that “parents who don’t vaccinate their children are parasites.”
Here’s what she says in a heartfelt letter posted today:
“I believe in my heart that my use of the word “parasites” was mean and divisive; I completely understand why it offended some parents, and in particular, parents of children with autism who feel that vaccines caused their illness. For this I am truly sorry. Since my mom has Parkinson’s Disease, I know what it feels like to want a concrete cause, and a concrete cure, as soon as possible. … However, I still believe that the decision not to vaccinate our children bodes for a dangerous future.”

After weeks and weeks of tirelessly shielding her baby from the paparazzi, new mom Amanda Peet let the ball drop on Wednesday, allowing photogs to (finally!) capture a clear picture of her 7-month-old baby girl and those gorgeous blue eyes.
Stepping out in Beverly Hills yesterday, the mother-and-daugther duo were the picture of parental bliss as they hit up the Neil George Salon for some much-needed pampering. And by the look on lil’ Frances Pen’s face, it was clear that an utter disdain for the paparazzi runs in the family.

Four months after giving birth to Frances Pen, ‘Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip’ star Amanda Peet is snapped toting her bundle of joy at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday after spending the weekend at her Manhattan townhouse with hubby and babydaddy, David Benioff.
The 35-year-old new mom was none to pleased to see the army of paparazzi lurking outside of the airport waiting to snap the exclusive shots.
In a dire attempt for privacy, Amanda tried to shield the young tot with her hand, but to no avail — FP can be seen HERE comfortably sleeping in mum’s arms as though there weren’t a worry in this world.
Too cute.
