Alec Baldwin was cornered at an event in New York last night and a
New York magazine reporter asked him about kissing
Jennifer Aniston on
30 Rock.
Sighed the 50-year-old actor: “It was painful. I mean, every man who’s had to make out with her in TV and movies — I don’t know how they do it.”
Then conversation turned to whether he believed in the episode’s premise that unstable women are better in bed?
This is what went down:
Baldwin, who has a famously intense relationship with ex-wife Kim Basinger, guffawed and wagged a finger at us. (Phew — we were half expecting he’d yell.) “That’s assuming I’ve been with crazy women,” he said. “If I answer that question in the affirmative, that would type a woman I’ve been with as being crazy, which I don’t really feel like doing. But I hear it’s true. I hear from my friends it’s true.” These same “friends” also told him the theory might not hold for dudes, so insane men may not make better lovers, he speculated. “I will say this on the record,” he said before fleeing. “I’ve never slept with a crazy man.”

During last night’s installment of the Late Show with David Letterman, devout Democrat Alec Baldwin said that Sarah Palin is a “beautiful, beautiful woman.”
He added that backstage at Saturday Night Live, she was “very game and very professional.” And Palin told Baldwin that she had been chatting Stephen Baldwin, Alec’s conserative brother. Imitating her voice, he said: “We’ve been trying to figure out how to knock some sense into ya!”
Who knew she was such a comedian?

Salma Hayek is only the latest A-list celeb to make a cameo appearance on 30 Rock.
Photogs caught up with the well-endowed actress filming scenes with co-star Alec Baldwin at the Cadman Plaza Park in Brooklyn Heights today.
In the scene, Baldwin’s character visit Salma’s family picnic. In between takes, Hayek played the role of doting mother with daughter Valentina Pinault.
Show producer Tina Fey reportedly asked Salma to guest on the Emmy-winning series as “a character—not as herself” for two episodes.
Salma joins an ever-growing list of stars making their 30 Rock debut this season, including Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston and Al Gore.
The show may air as early as next week!

Is Alec Baldwin losing his marbles?
During this rather nervous interview with The Los Angeles Times, the award-winning actor plays with a computer, waxes randomly about life and then, poof — he’s gone!
Alec on turning 50 in April: “A man turns 50 and he has a funeral for the skills that he never had. He says goodbye. I’m never gonna be a cop, never gonna be a professional baseball player, never going to play the piano, a ballet dancer, the leading rusher in the NFL. All those things gone. But! There’s other things to do. The world is run by men in their 50s. So I’m trying to decide what to do when I quit this business.”
Alec on a potential career in politics: “What would I run for? Yeah, I do have to find another career. I don’t want to do this. . . . I don’t.”
Alec on the difference between cable and network: “I love The Sopranos; I love everything on the cable stations where it’s much more hard-edged, salty, more adult. The networks, we don’t have that luxury. … To talk about what I want to do to Condoleezza Rice sexually without saying something really, really anatomical — that takes a lot of doing.”
Then he suddenly stood up and said, “Lemme go find out something, hold on” and, inexplicably, went to lunch.
He’s yet to return.

On Friday, for the first time since Alec Baldwin’s controversial answering machine message for his daughter came to light, attorneys for the actor and ex-wife Kim Basinger will appear in court to address ongoing issues in the couple’s heated custody dispute, the AP reports.
Kim stands accused of failing to heed court orders in the case, and faces 12 misdemeanors counts of contempt. If convicted of all, she could be eyeing up to 60 days in the clink and a $12,000 (shoe money) fine.
A separate hearing is slated for June 5, to discuss the tape and determine if its disclosure violated a court order to keep the proceedings confidential.
