On the same day he was charged with criminal battery for allegedly punching his wife, Alan Panettiere was seen out on what appeared to be a peaceful family night out.
Joined by family cash cow Hayden the troubled father treated son Jansen to a fancy meal in L.A. to celebrate his 14th birthday.
We can only imagine what pearls of wisdom were passed down during the dinner conversation.

Hayden Panettiere’s parents put on a united front, just one day after he was arrested and charged with domestic violence for allegedly striking his wife.
Alan Panettiere and wife Lesley Vogel were all smiles as they walked their dogs near their home in Los Angeles yesterday.
Despite reports that she had been “punched” by her hubby “two or three times”, Lesley showed no sign of the bruising which is said to have occurred. No word on whether Lesley pulled a Sleeping with the Enemy move by covering any marks with her sunglasses.
The cost of getting Hayden’s fist-weilding father out of the slammer? The Heroes hottie had to fork over $50 000 bail.

Rather than spend Valentine’s Day with her much older beau Milo Ventimiglia, Heroes hottie Hayden Panettiere opted to grab dinner with Mom, Dad, and Brother on Thursday night.
Hayden chose the new STK restaurant in Los Angeles, accompanied by her former soap star mom Lesley R. Vogel, her fire department lieutenant father Alan Panettiere and her younger brother Jansen.
Channeling her inner Sherlock Holmes, Hayden sported a khaki-coloured trenchcoat over her evening attire.
It comes as no surprise that Miss Panettiere wanted to spend some quality time with her family. She has been quite busy in recent with her career (she was just at the Berlin International Film Festival promoting her new film Fireflies in the Garden) and her many philanthropic endevours (Save the Whales!)
