Britney Spears’ trip to the hospital early this morning was “a carefully orchestrated intervention.”

Mom Lynne Spears, who arrived in L.A. over the weekend, flew out specifically for it, a source tells Us Weekly, and her lawyers have been coordinating all along with the Los Angeles Police Department.

The source adds that Britney “had been up since Saturday without any sleep. But that was a good situation for her to be in because she would be too exhausted to protest going in.”

Meanwhile, the two men in Brit’s tragic life, Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib, are no longer by her side.

Faux manager Sam Lutfi left the hospital at approximately 4 a.m. this morning, while the Britney’s on-again, off-again beau Adnan Ghalib was photographed leaving the hospital at 5:30 a.m. Brit’s family, including papa Jamie, mama Lynne and little bro Bryan have also left the hospital where the 26-year-old mother-of-two is being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

All alone…naturally.

The Hottie and the Nottie co-stars Paris Hilton and Christine Lakin dine out at Katsuya sushi restaurant in West Hollywood on Wedneday night.

The giggling girls then headed to the S Bar on Hollywood Boulevard where Paris instantly gained entrance. Christine, dressed in character, was denied access to the beautiful people bar until her co-star came out to rescue her.

Yep….it’s good to know Paris.

Meanwhile, actor/porn star Simon Rex was reportedly spotted making out with Paris at last week’s Sundance Film Festival. Interestingly, he too was dining at Katsuya last night.

Following her daughter’s umpteenth breakdown, Lynne Spears is spotted receiving some guidence at the UCLA Center at 5.30 a.m. early Thursday morning.

When asked about her daughter’s condition, Lynne replied; “Britney’s fine”. The 26-year-old singer was taken to the UCLA Medical Center for treatment and evaluation and is on a 72-hour emergency hold, known as a 5150. It is the second time Spears has been hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation this month.

It was another wild and tragic night for Britney Spears.

Her psychiatrist reportedly visited her yesterday and Brit-Brit’s behaviour warranted hospitalization - another 5150 under California law, meaning she is a danger to herself and others. Police were called and she was taken, quietly this time, by ambulance from her Studio City home around 1 a.m. to UCLA Medical Center, where her doctor practices. Mom Lynne has been on the scene. She will be held for 72 hours. After that, a doctor could order her to be held longer.

What brought on the hospitalization? “She was driving around her neighborhood like a mad-woman,” a Spears family source tells People. “Britney has been prescribed medication which she refuses to take. This is just another sad, sad evening.”

Manager/friend Sam Lutfi and Spears’s father, Jamie, arrived at the hospital shortly after the singer. Her mother was later spotted leaving the home with Spears’s photographer beau, Adnan Ghalib.

Earlier in the night, Internet rumours claimed that the singer had attempted suicide, but those were refuted by the family.

Hollywood superstars Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey are all smiles as they brave the uncharacteristically high winds at the L.A. premiere of their new comedy, Fools Gold, at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Wendesday night.

While an electric blue Kate hit the red carpet solo, Matthew was joined by his increasingly pregnant fiancée Camila Alves who was a true knockout in a sexy bump-hugging strapless number.

Meanwhile, Kate says she is convinced the media’s portrayal of her hunky costar is not accurate, insisting that his wild antics won’t affect his ability to be a great father.

She tells People, “I think he will be an incredible dad. I think because people see Matthew always out doing something whether (it’s) out dancing in a bar or being on the beach or taking a hike with some crazy bandana on, I think that, like anything, they take their image and what they want somebody else to be and then they just run with that. Matthew happens to be one of the most loving and loyal people I know and his family is important to him. He’s great with kids and I think he’ll be a very responsible and absolute blast of a dad.”
