Getting used to life in the United States, Gwyneth Paltrow played the role of doting mom as she picked up her kids Apple and Moses from school in Santa Monica, CA yesterday (April 22).
To no surprise, the 36-year-old actress was feeling very camera-shy (yet amazingly toned!) as she sheilded her brood from the paparazzi like mother cub does when a predator has entered the home range.
Meanwhile, it appears Gwynnie’s goodwill knows no boundaries. The actress-turned-newsletter editor has reportedly turned her attention and concern to her chubster friend Mario Batali.
The TV chef’s weight has ballooned over the years and the 36-year-old actress will be damned if she doesn’t do something about it.
The New York Post reports that she “gave him a free membership to the pricey gym that she and her fitness friend Tracy Anderson are opening in TriBeCa this summer, saving him the $4,500 membership fee and monthly bills. An insider said, ‘Mario is the only fat friend she has, and wants him to change.’”

But to write she was “playing” a doting mom, is rude!!!get a grip, and stop quoting the tabloids so freaking much, this site is getting worse and worse!!
I don’t think she’s demanding privacy here. If that were the case she’d never leave her house. She’s just wants to be able to get her kids and herself in the car without the onslaught of paparazzi hounded her. I wouldn’t call that privacy, I’d call that decency.

The paps aren’t blocking her car. She has several bodyguards there too. Why the sudden school runs? Is she done filming Iron Man already?
