In a video blog posting on her site, Rosie O’Donnell says she watched the season premiere of ‘The View’ yesterday.
“Whoopi was good,” says Ro, but it seems the now defunct moderator cannot stand the new set. “It’s just wrong,” she said, referring to it as “an error in judgment.”
And as for whether it saddened her to watch the show go on without her? “No, I wasn’t sad.”

Rosie left the show on her own free will. So who the f*** cares what she thinks of it now?
I think Whoopi is good, but I also think she has been told to be controversial. How else could you explain her explanation of Michael Vick’s dog fighting conviction? She said he grew up in the south where dogs are used as sport - huh? I’m a black man from the south and I have never witnessed anything of the sort. My grandfather and my father always owned dogs and they might not have been as pampered as dogs are these days but they loved those dogs as much as they loved their kids if not more.
I can’t believe Whoopi is defending Michael Vick, its her first day as the real host and she’s already making a stupid remark and trying to get attention. I thought Whoopi was better than that. At least Rosie wouldn’t defend someone like Michael Vick!

Whoopi didn’t think Vick was right, but that she understand that where he comes from this form of sport is more common than other areas of the country. I agree it’s boring now, Whoopi’s very gentle, and not firey eough.

now here comes all the bad talk about whoopi defending michael vick, thats her opinion shes entitled to it. shes not calling no one names like that ignorant don imus. get a life people. a lot of people agree with her.
Who cares whether Rosie likes the new set or not? She’s not part of the View anymore and she made that decision on her own so I don’t think she has any right to judge. I’m not so sure about Whoopi but I think she is a lot more of a genuine person than Rosie is. I have a feeling that behind closed doors Rosie could be a very mean, horrible person.
