While the condition of her health may be the best it’s been in ages, the same cannot be said about Amy Winehouse’s spirits.
The moody soulstress reportedly stormed out of the Mercury Music Awards tonight after losing to cult band the Klaxons.
Shortly after forcing out a round of applause alongside hubby Blake Fielder-Civil and father Mitch, Amy and Co. left the Grosvenor House Hotel in London where the ceremony was held and were driven away in a silver BMW.
Amy’s failure to win Album of the Year meant she also lost out on the $50 000 prize. Or in other words, drug money for the week.

She left so she didn’t have to face all the press re recent events. Stop making shit up, will you? She was never favourite to win, so I don’t think she was expecting to, anyway.
her preformance was excellent and blew many other award goers away.she may be fucked up in her private life but the girl has talent.
She is talented and nobody thinks her doing drugs is cool but you have to understand, that VOICE is stunning, thats all some of us are saying not that what she is doing in her private life is good but it IS her private life and this awards show is about her talent.
Anyway…I’m not sure if Klaxons deserved to win, they did basically spawn an entire genre…ish(nu-rave) and they have got some inventive videos….but I adore Bat For Lashes…so…well I could never decide!
Klaxons isn’t a cult band, really. This is their first album. What they are, however, is fucking amazing !

She didn’t “storm out.” She performed extremely well, looked very appreciative of the award she got and then left quickly, but she defintely was not acting like a sore loser. And blahhh, I’d like to know what makes you think she’s acting the way she does to try to be “rock n roll.” I defintely do not know her, but I do keep up on her interviews and she very much seems to be her own person, much more than any average hollywood starlet. If she got breast implants, dyed her hair blonde and ironed it straight, would you like her more? One last thing, you’re very naive to think she does drugs to be cool.
