MILEY DROPS BY ‘EL HORMIGUERO’

Waging on with her non-stop European promo tour, child star Miley Cyrus made an appearance on the Spanish variety TV El Hormiguero today (April 21) in Madrid, Spain.

After attending the pre-screening in the Spanish capital city this morning, the 16-year-old Disney star joined her father Billy Ray Cyrus for a full hour of Hannah Montana: The Movie promotion in the afternoon.

Click HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE to check out MC’s appearance where she gushes above taking advantage of the fact that her mom Tish is not around.

“Just like every other kid, I am on allowance,” she says. “But I’m without my mom on this trip so I’ve been able to do some shopping but I’ve been working all day so I haven’t been able to really go shopping but when I was in Rome, I went to some really cool vendors and found really cool jewerly.”

Miley also boasts about how life on the road is better than anything you can find in a textbook. “Yes, I am home schooled and it’s fun traveling on the road. Unlike what you do in school where you learn about Spain and you learn about Rome, I actually get to go see it. And I wish I had more time to check everything out because I haven’t really had that much time, but I think the best way to learn is to, like, instead of hearing about it, I actually get to go see it.”

she is delusional if she thinks being a show dog is better than getting an education.

^Homeschooled = getting an education. And anyway, I can see what she means. My friends took several years of Spanish in school, but could barely string sentences together… they spent some time with me in Peru and the DR and learned much more about the culture and the language than they would have in a classroom. They are comfortable engaging in conversation with Latin people now :o). Having new and eye-opening experiences are a great form of education.

Yeah I agree with Aysla. Experiencing different cultures by travel is an amazing way to learn about the world and different ways of life. But at the same time it kind of sounds like she’s putting down people who don’t have the luxury of learning via travel.

I think she needs a lot more training on how to talk to the press. She is insanelt overconfident which I guess isn’t really a bad thing but she just comes across as a precocious brat half the time and I would hate to think that young girls are actually using her as a role model. Unfortunately not all girls can afford to travel around the world at fifteen and she’s making it sound like they should be able to. The girls that are in a more normal schooling environment may not turn out to be as rich as Miley but they will end up being a lot smarter, which to be honest I don’t think seems to be too hard.
