Joining rising starlet Zoe Kravitz, a frizzed out Chace Crawford was busy at work in the New York set of Joel Schumacher’s new dramatic film Twelve in Central Park today (April 21).

The story follows a high school dropout-turned-drug dealer whose lucrative life takes a dramatic turn when his cousin is found brutally murdered on an East Harlem playground and his best friend is arrested for the crime.

The big budget flick co-stars Kiefer Sutherland, Emma Roberts and 50 Cent.

Meanwhile, Chace is reportedly in final negotiations for the lead role in the upcoming revival of Kevin Bacon’s 1984 film Footloose. The only roadblock? Gossip Girl.

According to a scoop from E!’s Mark Malkin, the shooting schedule has put a major kink in plans for Chace to star in Footloose and show producers have been able unable to adjust the schedule to accommodate the movie musical.

“There’s a big overlap of when he’d have to shoot Footloose and the next season of Gossip Girl,” a source says. “Chace may be hiring a big-league attorney to come in and figure out how to make it work.”
