
The hunky 40-year-old actor joins a very select list of Hollywood luminaries whose hand and footprints and signatures have been immortalized in cement in the famed theater’s forecourt.
The event precedes the May 1 release of Hugh’s uber-anticipated new film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, in which he returns to the role that launched him to superstardom, as the beloved mutant antihero Wolverine.
During his thank-you speech, Hugh acknowledged the superhero with the sharp cutting instruments for hands. “This is a dream,” he said. “But I know how much I owe to this character (Wolverine). If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be here.”

I think Hugh deserves the star on the walk of fame. He is talented and will be around for a long time. Congrats!

The walk of fame ceremony is supposed to be sometime later this year, I think.

About time! I think Hugh is a fantastic actor and he just seems like such a nice, genuine guy who does not come across as fake or superficial at all. And just to add to his appeal he loves his family, is good looking and of course an Australian
