Valentino is retiring.
The famed Italian fashion designer, who has dressed the likes of Julia Roberts and Elizabeth Hurley, said today it’s “the perfect moment to say goodbye to the world of fashion.”

He is one of my favorite designers. His creations are classic and timeless.

Yeah that’s not happening.. At least once in a year he is gonna come up with a reason to create something.. Plenty of excuses to use to stay in the business. I think that statement was merely to shake things up a little. Obviously he is not gonna make collections for every season, but he will definitely stay in the game.
He did wonderful creations for Jackie O, way back when.

This is very very SAD.
Very sad indeed!!! I remember my mom taking me to my first Paris Fashion Week when I was about 13 and her telling me that this man (Valentino) is a huge designer and that one day I will want to wear his dresses. Great memory. So will the label still continue on with somebody else doing the main directing?? Or is this it?
