Gay supercouple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi weren’t necessarily the night’s biggest winners but they certainly did garner the biggest round of applause. The newlyweds picked up the prize for Outstanding Talk Show Episode for ‘Ellen & Portia’s Wedding Day on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Self-professed “f*g hag” Kathy Griffin picked up the Vanguard Award. The coveted award is given to a member of the entertainment community who has made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for LGBT people. In honour of such a career and personal landmark, the 48-year-old comedian donned the bikini she made famous during a recent outing with new BFF Paris Hilton.

Kathy joins previously announced honorees Suze Orman and Tyra Banks, recipients of the Vito Russo Award and the Excellence in Media Award respectively, at the March 28 ceremony held in New York City.

    so strange.
i remember the washed-up jessica alba praying for her baby to be brown-skinned, but i don’t remember her praying for it to be gay.
btw, aborting gay fetuses in maine is illegal. you can only abort the straight ones.

LOL @ Solaera. Kathy, you still look like a tranny with stubby legs. Give it a rest.

Kathy’s body isn’t as bad as I thought it would be actually, but I still think she’s desperate and kind of disgusting. I’m glad Ellen and Portia won an award, I think they are an amazing couple who have both been through a lot to be where they are today. They are all class and don’t feel the need to constantly remind everyone they are gay….Rosie O’Donnell anyone?
