The upcoming CW revamp of ’90s nighttime soap Melrose Place was underway and filming in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday (April 18).
Ashlee Simpson has joined the cast and was seen lingering on set yesterday with precious baby Bronx Mowgli Wentz.
The 24-year-old’s character is said to possess “a naivete that masks the shrewd sex-kitten within.”
Is it just us or is anyone else having trouble imagining Ashlee as the resident temptress? Heather Locklear she is not!

It’d be interesting to see her acting post-nose job. However, I question why CW would even redo Melrose Place when the 90210 remake hasn’t been able to reach half the success of its original.
Her hair looks gorgeous curled like this! I just love the color on her. I think she could pull off the role pretty well actually, it will be interesting to see how she goes. I can’t really see Melrose Place doing any better than 90210 though. I thought that sucked.

they play her music videos over and over at the gym and i think she is great in them. i think she can be a good actress.

She isn’t a very good actress–the episodes of Seventh Heaven that she was in were painful to watch.
