Appearing in a jail jumpsuit, the son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal revealed that his mother currently weighs only 86 pounds as she continues her battle against anal cancer.
“I want to be there for my mom,” 24-year-old Redmond told the judge. “My mom only weighs 86 pounds right now and I’m sorry your honour.”
After assuring the judge that he was serious about cleaning up his act this time, the judge ordered Redmond to remain in custody until at least April 30 when he will be sentenced in drug court to rehab.
Warned Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Millington: “Understand if I see you in that seat again, it’s not going to be pretty.”

He is such an asshole, to use his mom as an excuse to get out of punishment. He certainly didn’t seem to give a damn when he was off getting high while his mother was in the hospital.
I can’t help it - I feel bad for the kid. Yes, he’s effed up but truly - he’s got a serious substance abuse problem. The first thing an abuser does when under major stress is use.
Of course his mom’s illness will only worsen his drug problem. To hear that she weighs only 86 lbs. is so, so sad.
I hate this kid. Spoiled junkie asshole. He never supported his mother before this. He just uses her as a convenient excuse.

Ryan O’Neal must have satan’s sperm because he has fucked up every one of his kids. Horribly so. And while I have compassion for anyone suffering with cancer, I have very little respect for Farrah. I understand she was a selfish and immature stepmother to Ryan’s kids and had a lot do to with furthering their estrangement. It appears she hasn’t been the best parent to her own kid as well. Just an all around tragedy here. I don’t know why anyone would get within 10 ft of Ryan.
What a selfish little brat. His mother is battling cancer and he’s running around with heroin and going to court. He’s placing more stress on her no doubt, and if he cared about his mother and being there for her he wouldn’t have fucked up in the first place. Poor Farrah.
