The always debonaire Johnny Depp continued to shoot his next hit flick The Rum Diary in the Puerto Rican capital of San Juan today (April 15).
Decked out in a fabulous resort outfit, the ageless actor flashed photogs a quick heart-melting grin before joining Aaron Eckhart and Giovanni Ribisi on the outdoor set.
Even since landed on the Spanish-speaking island, Johnny has been causing a fan frenzy with some female locals, who have been crowding round the film locations to get a glimpse of their heartthrob.
For those of us who can’t jet to Puerto Rico to gawk, we’ll just have to settle for his special appearance on SpongeBob SquarePants on Friday night. He guest stars as the voice of Jack Kahuna Laguna, a legendary surfer who lives on an island where SpongeBob and his friends find themselves stranded after being swept away by a wave. The only way they can get home? They must find and ride “the perfect wave.”

He used to be a hardcore partier. He drank tonnes. He smokes like crazy. Yet he hasn’t aged a day in the last 15 years. He is either doing something magical or he’s sold his soul to the devil.

This may sound weird, but I kind of prefer Johnny when he’s all grungy-looking with two-toned, shaggy hair. And facial hair. You know the look: some shirt wrapped around his hips, sunglasses, a dozen necklaces, muddied boots. I’m not the only one, right?

I love him, but it’s evident he does botox. i wonder why nobody says a thing and Nicole Kidman is crucified.
People who do botox have facial areas that are “frozen”. It’s evident that this is NOT the case with Johnny. Things that he’s said before lead me to believe that he really doesn’t fear aging. He just has fantastic jeans and obviously takes very good care of himself.
I also prefer the more grungy look, Aysla! LOL Of course, he ALWAYS looks good, no matter what.

Johnny looks great as usual. The clean-shaven look makes him look much younger. He’s never had any cosmetic surgery and I if he’s dying his hair, it’s damn good. I need to find those vitamins he probably takes. He’s apparently given up the smoking habit. In not one photo of him since last year’s Public Enemies shoot has he been shown with a cig. Quite commendable.
He must have good genes and he looks good in his jeans, too!!! LOL
During last year’s PE shoot someone in the crowd offered him a cig and he said he doesn’t smoke. I haven’t seen a pic of him with a cig since before filming Sweeney Todd, when his Lily Rose was so sick. That’s a little more than two years now. And he hasn’t been a hard liquor drinker for several years, only good red wine. He doesn’t need it anymore - he has Vanessa and the kids. He’s happy. Almost certain he doesn’t do botox and his hair changes colors with each role, so who knows. Makes no difference to me - I love him anyway.

As for BOTOX I’m no expert but I’ve often heard beauty surgeons claim that he hasn’t… and they would know, right?

Some actors/actresses that get botox get only enough to make them look refreshed so they do not necessarily need to look “frozen”. I believe Johnny gets a little botox because if you look at his pics from a few years ago when he was doing the last Pirates movie, he definitely looked like he aged with the heavy bags and lines under his eyes and sag lines on the side of his nose then all of a sudden this past year, he looks firmer and tighter. Definitely had some work done. He is rich enough to get botox done secretly or even in France where they do a lot of botox too, although the French will not admit to it as they call it “natural beauty”.
I met him in San Juan on June 10th as they shot scenes for Rum Diary. There’s nothing artificil about Johnny. Maybe he has put color in his hair, but that’s all. He’s aging well because he still is young! He’s looking fantastic! He’s very attentive; looks at you straight into the eyes; he’s kind and very polite. He was also very personable with the crowds.
