It was another long day at the dance studio in Pacific Palisades, CA today (April 9) for Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise.

The 30-year-old actress has seemingly spent every day this week at the studio and now we know why — she’s rehearsing!

After making her Broadway debut last year in the revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, Katie will join actors Gary Sinese, Dianne Weist and others in Washington, D.C. at the National Memorial Day concert on May 24. (Katie and Dianne will read a veteran’s personal story on stage.)

Hosted by Sinese and Joe Mantegna, the concert will feature appearance by General Colin Powell, actor Laurence Fishburne and former American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee.

The show will be broadcast live on PBS.
