BALD IT LIKE BECKHAM

When it rains, it pours for soccer ace David Beckham.
First came news that he would not start the new season with his LA Galaxy teammates due to a Achilles tendon injury.
Then Becks blew his knee, forcing the aged athlete to postpone upcoming exhibition games.
And now it appears that the endless stress of his problem-ridden soccer career is beginning to taking its toll.
During an outing to an LA sports clinic with son Brooklyn yesterday, Beckham’s once prized and revered head of golden locks appeared thinned out.
With wife Victoria Beckham’s plans going pear shaped as well, it’s not looking like their move to LA was the best of ideas.
Is it too late to ask for an exchange? I think I still have the receipt around here somewhere…..

he can’t do anything w/o hurting himself….the Galaxy must be pissed.

This is why he should have been resting at home instead of jetting off to London to play in that exhibition match and instead of hanging on the beach w/ his kids.

The pics I saw of him hanging on the beach, he was just standing there. He certainly wasn’t doing any strenuous activity. I think injuries happen to everyone in sports. And he has a lot of pressure on him to be out there playing, not resting. When he sat the first few games out, everyone was pissed. Now he’s been playing and injures himself, and everyone’s pissed! I don’t think the Galaxy should be pissed, they knew they were taking a gamble when they got him, with his age and injury. I certainly don’t think his days are over.

Is he really losing his hair? That’s the first pic I’ve seen of him that implies that…Posh & Becks just need to relax and get in the Cali spirit. They had so much pressure on them to make a big splash in L.A….what they didn’t understand is that L.A. is much different than the U.K., which let’s be honest, is pretty small. They will make their mark. They just need time and to understand that they won’t be as well-loved over here as they are at home. That’s not a personal thing–Americans just don’t care so much about soccer and we’ve got our own anorexic pretty party-goers. In time, he’ll heal and play well and she will find her place.

oh god, that sounds like a soppy fairy tale..Sorry people. It’s Friday, it’s a holiday weekend and I’m sharing the love. Happy Happy everyone!!!

Agreed Heidi. He’s very near soccer retirement age… and there’s so much pressure for him to play that there’s very little concern over whether he is currently fit to do so. Let him heal and stop bitching, people! :/

When you’re paid 90 million dollars to play a game, your priority should be that game. If that means you have to sit still for 20 hours a day, then you do it. Maybe if he’d been sitting at home or actually rehabbing his ankle this collision might not have done as much damage.

he’s not being paid retirement age wages and he should consider his age before making a 3 day round trip to the UK.

^I disagree. Perhaps the Galaxy should have considered those things when they drew up the contract. But he has the contract, he’s set. And I don’t think he’s being frivolous about his health. He’s not out there overdoing himself on his off time. He has medical professionals telling him how to care for himself. I’m sure they know what they are talking about. And what it all boils down to is that it’s a risk for the Galaxy, Not Becks. So if they are sitting there biting their fingernails now, it’s their own fault. They should have thought of all of this before they made the deal.

It was stupid for them to come here anyway, Soccer was HUGE where they were, and so not huge here. What a couple of twits…

He is over 30 and played professional soccer for at least 15 years !!! If is breaking like that it’s because he is becoming to aged to play soccer at this level (and less in a country team) and really the US is were most of the aging soccers players come to finish their career and for most of them it’s a little shame.

Janie, couldn’t have said it better! This guy has proven to be nothing but a WASTE…

Actually, he has fulfilled his purpose of selling jerseys and stadium seats. That is really why he was paid, and it paid off. Before Galaxy, he was contracted by Real Madrid, the biggest soccer team ever, not because he is good, but to sell jerseys. He was on the bench most of the time on that team and he was healthy.

Its reported now this is a knee injury that might last the rest of the season. Here in Houston the Dynamo (MLS team) is asking people to come out and watch the game anyway. How much will other teams lose if Beckham is a no show?

It’s just an injury! Soccer players get them all the time, especially ones that work as hard as he does. Trust me, their move here has been a good one. One plane flight has made them more money then they’ve ever had!

Arasto… I just love you. I know this is completely unrelated to your post, but I love you. That is all.
