Looks like Britney Spears’ much hyped performance at the upcoming MTV ‘Video Music Awards’ is going to be all about great escapes.
According to the NYDN, the ‘Gimme More’ songstress be guided in and out of a series of mirrors and then will vanish — and then reappear — “several times” during her highly anticipated performance at the upcoming show. And with the help of Vegas magic-freak Criss Angel, her army of dancers will be harnessed for “simulated flight.”
Admit it — it sounds sorta hot. And if you add Brit’s hot hot hot new single as the soundtrack, it just may be her best performance yet.
Now let’s just hope Criss doesn’t make Britney disappear for good…

At this point I have to say who cares? She has so over-saturated us with herself that I’m just plain sick of her. She could be pulling gold bars out her butt and giving them to the crowd and I still wouldn’t watch.

At this point, she could do something incredible, but it won’t matter because she’ll be dressed like a pig. She’ll never be sexy to me again, so no matter what she does on stage, it will still look stupid. She’s over- if only the Queen of Delusion would see it herself.
If she actually performs at the VMA’s I’m sure she’ll lip sync and act like a stripper. It was kinda sexy when she was younger & in better shape, now it’ll just be sad.

I’m sure all the artist there will laugh at her, Timbaland mentioned he didn’t think it would be a good idea for her to perform. If she does it will be basically a strip show, her lip-synching, taking her clothes off and prancing around like a twat. I don’t see the point (although MTV will get huge ratings; which they need), she’s a has-been, she will never be ‘Britney’ again. Her music is the same old same, nothing special, music has moved on from her bubble-gum bullshit. She needs to sort out her life and put her career (if she has one) on hold; take care of her damn kids before K-Fed takes them.
Fianlly, the new Brit song is out and it really SUCKS. It’s not the worst song ever, but it sure ain’t no Toxic or Slave For You. They lyrics are all ego and her panting at the end sounds like she’ giving birth.

I listened to her new song (Gimme More) and the song is not bad –but–it is so over processed and enhanced that I imagine they could have used anyones voice and it would have sounded exactly the same. She will have to lip-synch it at the MTV awards cause there is no way it can ever even come close to sounding like the recording if it is done live….
I wasn’t planning on watching the VMAs before. Now I will definitely not tune in.

I must admit, I will still have to watch the VMAs. She’s always been a good entertainer but I fear I’ll be sitting in front of the tv with my face buried in my hands. After seeing her outfits @ her mini-shows I cringe at the mere thought of what she might wear. And I’m not knocking her body at all because I think she looks good but she’s not “stage ready” either. And for the love of Pete, please perform sans wig.
Here’s hoping she shows up drunk and high with her dimpled ass hanging out and gets booed and laughed at till she throws her wig to the ground and storms off the stage. THAT’s the train-wreck we’ve come to know and hate.

I love her new single, it took me a while to get used to it, but I had a bunch of girls around at mine last night and after a few margaritas and a few spins on the sound system we were all loving it! I think it will do very well on the charts. I just pray that Britney doesn’t embarrass herself with this performance and that she just blows everyone away with a polished, hot show! From what has been reported it sounds pretty cool though, can’t wait to see!

It’ll be a shit show for sure! I cant wait to see it! But it sucks that every detail is being leaked. It would have been more exciting to watch knowing that it would be a suprise.
