With her made-for-TV BFF Lauren Conrad seemingly calling her TV and fashion career quits, Whitney is quickly becoming MTV’s new “it” girl — what with her fabulous job at Diane Von Furstenberg, trendy wardobe, hunky sorta-ex boyfriend Jay Lyon and hip girlfriends. Yet in a new interview with MTV, Whitney opens up about all things LC.
Some highlights:
Whitney on Lauren’s future: “I know that she said her clothing line is going on hold for a little while. I think it’s because of the recession, but I’m not exactly sure, so I know that that’s going on hold. She’s probably working to build that back up.”
Whitney on Lauren’s upcoming young-adult novel series called L.A. Candy: “I know she’s been working and writing some books. I think it’s like some sort of play on a biography.”
Whitney on what the book is about: “She’s kept it kind of quiet, but I know it’s about a girl based on her, filming a reality show or whatnot. She is young, but she’s been through a lot, and a lot of people want to know about what she’s done.”

I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the recession that caused LC’s clothing to go belly-up! How about it sucked ass, and that is why it is gone!
Fashion icon? Really? Those are the types of pants you see being sold for 5 bucks on the sidewalk in places like Cancun and Miami. She looks (and acts) like a complete idiot. I can’t believe Diane Von Furstenburg would have anything to do with this fake TV star. What a disgrace to an otherwise amazing American designer.
she is talking about lauren because lauren is the only real star from all those MTV reality shows.
Her answers reveal how close (or apart) she is from LC
I don’t think she should really comment on stuff that she obviously doesn’t know that much about. Leave it up to LC to do the talking. I love her leather jacket and normally I think she looks cute but these pants are pretty ugly.
