The 55-year-old media mogul was among the inviteees at the Art Institute of Chicago’s dinner in honour of the International Olympic Committee’s evaluation committee last night (April 6). The group is trying to assess whether Chicago is a good destination for the 2016 Olympic Games.
At the high-brow event, Oprah told reporters that a Chicago Olympics is “going to be big, it’s huge, it’s enormous.” She added: “It’s only going to be good for everyone.”
Not surprisingly, it was all eyes on Lady O. “She steals the show any time, to be very frank,” Chicago mayor Richard Daley told the Sun-Times. “She talked to all the delegates. She talked to everybody there. She was very open and friendly about Chicago.”
Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Madrid are the other cities that are currently competing with Chi-Town to host the games.

I love her hair straight and I love, love, love the shawl sweater thing. I will ignore the haters because Oprah doesn’t owe a thing to anyone because the woman has been more than generous here and abroad. And just like every other American, she has the right to support whichever candidate she chooses without people calling her names or accusing her of selling out.
