OK, so i finally heard the whole song on Perez….and after hearing the whole thing, I have to say that I’m absolutely shocked at how bad this is.
Poor, lazy writing, it’s like “gimme gimme more….” and that’s the whole song. Any loser of the street could come up with that.

First song sounds fantastic!! Very modern and something that I could definately hear as a number one. I don’t really know about the next clip, I didn’t really hear enough of it to judge. Her voice sounds a little bit whiny, more like it did back in her Baby One More Time days when everyone used to talk about how unique her voice was. I’m excited!!

there was a cat fight last night outside my house….kinda reminds me of these supposedly “hot” snippets of her new music. That being said I think I’d rather hear those damn cats repeatedly every night for the next few months then hearing either of these two songs played repeatedly on some top 40 radio station.

Fantastic, gimmicky production skills can’t hide the fact that “Gimme More” actually has no hook. Even the overplayed Umbrella by Rihanna is less monotone. Sometimes an artist can get away with it, but only if you have momentum. I love Timbaland and Danja for the fact that they revolutionized music but as of late they rely more and more on their production skills and less on good old fashioned great-melody-songwriting. Second song, can’t tell.

I just came to the realization that all the people that come to this site are mostly Britney haters, I don’t coondone her behaviour even I’m getting sick of it but I have to give credit when due and the song Gimme more is absolutely amazing. It will be a hit. I went to Perez site and read the comments and most of the people that don’t even like her love her song, I think her music career just might save her.

i admit that britney never did music that i’d listen or even mildly like - i have no idea if these clips are good because i cannot stand the whole genre or whatever she’s presenting… to say something positive, i’m surprised that she came up with actual music - i was sure that by now all she could offer was the excitement whether she was wearing panties or not.

As for the music… the first song was okay, but too repetitive and simplistic for my taste. The second song is a total joke… carnival beats and a voice to rival my awful singing in the shower (Almost as bad as the cats you were talking about, crumbly! haha ;).

Horrible & as GW said it’s just production smoke & mirrors for a no talent. Really bad in every sense, can’t find one good thing to say. Combine that with her negative PR- it’s now officially over if the last few years & common sense didn’t clue you in. No wonder Jive bailed. Writers should have had a talent approval clause and held out for more than just who cut the check first. She can’t sing, phrase or imbue emotion. She made her money, should just get a good portfolio manager, chill and thank her lucky stars people were stupid enough to buy the Disney package for as long as she did.

There are two versions of Gimme More http://breatheheavy.com/ the first one isn’t that horrible. I would get sick of hearing it quick though. The second is audio vomit. But there are he die hard (Sheep-people) fans that would love her just that same if her shit on the stage and then ate it.
The one thing she seems to forget is that she become famous by her sexy appeal, (which is gone) and the fact that she was jail bait. That is no longer the case.

Hey Kate. Another reason that she is a joke in Hollywood is the fact that she also NEVER take responsibility for her own actions. Kevin did not approach her. She went after him. And he didn’t ask her to marry him, she did the asking.
She flew him over the world, away from his family(Which of course was his choice), but she asked for it. She went after someone that was already spoken for. She has to beg for attention, so the press doesn’t ignore her, and she has to do the same to attract men. Justin left her, Colin just wasn’t interested, and then a loooooooooooooooooooooooong streak of no one want to touch her, and then she has to go back home to the trailer park to find one who will, but her family got involved that time. And THEN she got Kevin.
So, that was her…and no one else.

She does need to get back into the studio because I myself dont see these 2 songs be hits. She can do better and I think her turning down Timbaland was wrongo!
