She’s be plagued with nasty headlines scrutinizing her weight but Jessica Simpson looked tanned and toned as she worked on her tan poolside in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico yesterday (April 2).
Joined by a few girlfriends and her bikini-clad mom Tina, the singing sensation was enjoying some much-needed time away from the spotlight after wrapping up a three-month national tour as the opening act for Rascal Flatts.
Now that her stab at country music is seemingly over, what’s next? Reality TV!
After getting rave review for her part on CBS’s I Get That A Lot earlier this week, it appears she’s considering an offer from the people at Dancing With the Stars.
A pal of Jessica’s tells MSN’s The Scoop: “Jessica’s fame skyrocketed when she was on Newlyweds, and no other project has been the same runaway hit. She wants to be involved with something she’s really good at, and people love Jess when she’s just being herself. She never would have considered Dancing With the Stars before, but she’s not ruling it out now. When she saw Jewel was going to do it, it made her look at the show in a different light.”

“People love Jess when she’s just being herself” - Um, that’s because she has not talent. So, no one wants to see her trying to be something she’s not….talented.
She looks good. I think the whole weight issue was way overblown in the first place.
Of course it was overblown! I’d expect a little story about her putting on a bit of weight but not the huge media frenzy that it caused. If she had all of a sudden put on 50 pounds or something ok, but she really didn’t look that different. I think her body looks incredible here, I’ve always thought her body looks really natural and healthy. Reality is a good choice for her, she was very entertaining on Newlyweds, but I thought that she had kind of sworn it off seeing as it cause problems with her marriage. I guess Dancing with the Stars is kind of different though, it’s not like it follows you around and films your actual life.

Dancing With The Has- Beens is a great choice for her. She’ll get in amazing shape again, and work the circuit. Though nothing will stop her from looking pathetic.
