Madam Tussauds just displayed this wax figure of Princess Diana as a tribute on the tenth anniversary of her death.
Evidently, not even art can capture the beauty of Lady Di.

I miss her

Ditto. She was the one person I looked up to and admired. I hope there is a heaven and she is there.

What a strange feeling, to load fadedyouth and see Diana there. She truly seemed to be a wonderful person, and the debpth of feeling that so many people felt when she died was amazing. That seems to show that even people who’d not met her personally still knew she was a good person.

depth, rather.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been one along.

The representation of Diana is spot on. But the dress is quite dowdy. Did she actually wear that?

^Really? I think they exaggerated the nose and jaw a bit… Anyway, she was a beautiful person and one of my idols growing up.

I wonder what her corpse looks like? They should have been a before and after of her, like what her corpse looks like in 2007. Now, that would be an attraction.

I saw this at Madame Tussaud’s in Vegas, and have to say that hers was the most lifel ike figure.

PSL I’m pretty sure there has been figures of her before but this was made particularly for the 10th anniversary. *sigh* i really do miss her as well.

She was a great woman, but not the great beauty everyone makes her out to be.

i always wondered all the things she’d have accomplished had she lived.

Yeah the Princess Di wax figure in Vegas is amazing!! Is this the same one just in a different outfit? I was really haunted by that figure. I still remember the day she died and just feeling like I had lost a member of my family. I know she wasn’t an angel, she definately had her faults, but she was such a lady and one of the most human royals. She really was a strong lady who I found/still find really interesting. There is a lot more to her than meets the eye.

I disagree Luella. I was lucky enough to see her in person when she came to Manhattan. She was strikingly beautiful. Tall, thin and her face was flawless.

If this Madame Toussaud’s is the one in London, then this wax figure has been there since at least 2002. I took a picture with Lady Di when I was there, and the figure was in this exact pose, except with different clothing. Something tells me this may be the same figure, but just dressed differently for the 10th anniversary.

Creepy shit!
Both royalty and wax figures are for people tha like to adore gods because they fail to see humanity all arround.

I never thought she was beautiful or anything but she was definitely stylish and graceful. And that figuerine is wearing a god-awful outfit that is definitely not what Di wd have worn.

Geez!U pple act like you knew her or smtg. And stephi whats with the whole sentimental crap(’i was haunted by that figure” and ”felt like i had lost a family member”) Geeeez! We already know u sympathise with all the down-trodden hollywood starlets so save the rhetorics. There is alot more to every silly celebrity than what meets the eye for u…as if u r some kind of a mind doctor.
She was a good ambassador for alot of pertinent issues in the world.full stop.
Just because she died doesnt make her an eternal goddess of beauty.SHe was graceful…yeah but not ”beautiful”.And plus she was a home-wrecker too.And thats certainly not pretty.

That has to be really friggin strange for her kids to see this.

That is really a good likeness of Diana! I really thought it was her when I first looked at the picture. It is a reminder of how sad that we do not have her anymore, she became a true inspiration on life.

Did she really have a dick-nose like that? BLECCCH.

The sculpture itself, is very much a likeness of Diana, I think, as she looked in the early 90’s. The hairstyle, though, isn’t quite right. (The top needs some height). More authentic, would be the short layered cut that she modeled during that time.
As far as the gown is concerned, it depicts the “pared-down” style that Diana wore in the 90’s, but the (top) of the dress should be enhanced with sequins for that “wow” effect.
