Keira Knightley suffers a brutal assault in a new PSA highlighting the issue of domestic violence.
The two-minute spot, for the charity Women’s Aid, shows the British starlet being beaten by her partner after she returns home from a film set.
It is directed by Joe Wright, who worked with Keira on Atonement.
Says the actress: “Domestic violence affects one in four women at some point in their lifetime.”

How about making it a bit more realistic and show him raping her right after he first knocks her down? That is much more likely than him just kicking her, and it would bring a whole different aspect of domestic violence to light… one that no one ever wants to talk about. It happens a whole lot more than you would think, and is hardly ever prosecuted.
Chilling. It’s always hard to watch these sort of PSAs that are so in your face but sometimes I think people don’t really understand how bad certain issues actually are. No woman should ever have to experience something like this, especially from someone she is in a relationship with as they obviously don’t love you if they do this.
