Hosted by Sir Sean Connery, the star-studded event officially kicked off Tartan Week festivities in the Big Apple, which will culminate in a parade up Fifth Avenue on Saturday.
The fashion show, which was to have a “colours of Scotland” theme, was shelved last year due to funding problems and organiser Geoffrey Scott-Carroll suffering an illness.
Decked out in threads from designers on both sides of the pond (including Vivienne Westwood, Victoria’s Secret, Kenley Collins of Project Runway and many local Scottish up-and-comers), runway walkers included the likes of Mike Myers, Andie McDowell, Donald Trump, racing star Dario Franchitti, The Office star Lucy Davis and country bumpkin Kellie Pickler.
