The all too loose-lipped Grey’s Anatomy actress says she does not know whether her character, Dr. Izzie Stevens, who is currently battling cancer, was going to be killed off at the end of this season.
At a party yesterday celebrating the hit ABC show’s 100th episode, Katherine said, “I was assuming that at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don’t know if that’s a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don’t know how this is going to go. I don’t know if I live or die. I don’t know how Izzie fares.”
If Izzie does kick cancer, Katherine said she’d gladly remain on Grey’s – “I’m there,” she tells the AP — calling the set “one of my favorite places to be.”
As for balancing life as a television star and movie actress? “I’m more than happy to make that compromise. As my agent likes to say, ‘High-class problems,’” she says. “I don’t know if I want to continue for five years working 12 months a year, but I can take at least another year or two.”
It appears Heigl is now eating a much-needed slice of humble pie.

I like Katherine Heigl! She is a good comedic actress but needs to leave TV as soon as she can.
Ugh I don’t like her at all. You don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Once she had filmed a pathetic little romantic comedy, it all went to her head and she obviously thought that she was too good for Grey’s. But now that not too many movies are coming her way she’s running back to the show that made her famous. I’m surprised after all the things she has said about the show’s writing not being good enough and everything, that they even want her in the cast.
