What started off as a friendly press conference this morning (March 26) with Sharon Osbourne to promote the upcoming Osbournes: Reloaded variety show quickly turned sour when a reporter asked whether the family’s long history with addiction might not go over well with viewers of a family-aimed variety show.
Said Sharon: “That must be the most ridiculous question I have ever been asked in my entire career! I’m really angry. Do you know how many people suffer from addiction? This is a terrible epidemic. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, black or white.”
She added: “You know that we have been so open about our lives. My husband has struggled with addiction his entire life. My son has been clean and sober for 6 years and lives a very, very straight AA lifestyle. And so, if anything, he’s a beacon of hope for every young person who is struggling with addiction. When you talk about family, we’re family and we are a real family. We don’t pretend to be something we’re not. … We live in the real world and this world is tough.”
Osbournes: Reloaded debuts on Fox on Tuesday.

chew that ass!
love her
I have to commend Sharon Osbourne. She’s direct and unapologetic, and fiercely loyal to her husband and children. Ozzie wouldn’t have survived his career without her.
Addiction affects every family on some level. The interviewer was a douchebag.
I don’t think the interviewer was that out of line to be honest. Her family memebers have constantly talked about their addictions, most likely to get a bit of publicity, so they have to expect to be asked about it as well. I don’t think a history of addiction would be the thing to keep viewers from watching, I think it would be the fact that the family is trashy and the kids are the brattiest, rudest kids on TV with zero respect to their parents.
I wouldn’t want to be her neighbor but I love Sharon!
I can’t say any more than Stephi. It’s true, they have been so open about their addictions, how could she expect NOT to be asked about it??
