OWEN UPDATE

owen-wilson-suicide.JPG

Failed suicide attempter Owen Wilson has issued a public statment:

“I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time.”

Yeah, good luck with that one.

Meanwhile, a Cedars-Sinai spokesman tells Extra TV that Owen is “in good condition” at the hospital after being admitted yesterday.

The day after he tries to off himself he issues a press release. Wow. Celebs recover fast.

Starr: totally with you on that one. Making that big, heavy, black cloud go away is just damn hard.

Bingo, LolaLola. So depressed he tried to kill himself, but not so much that he can issue a press releases?

I wonder what kind of depression that is?

What’d he do, whip out his blackberry on his way home from the hospital?

NOT A SUICIDE ATTEMPT: A HEROIN OVERDOSE.

    FROM JANET CHARLTON:
    http://janetcharltonshollywood.com/whodunit/

his good looking leading man from an acting family - who often plays ‘”the boyfriend” in movies - has a secret drug problem. He’s always seemed clean cut and the last one you’d suspect. Around six months ago he tried heroin and he LOVED it. Now he’s a slave to the substance and his family is worried sick. This actor used to be very visible and social - dating some of Hollywood’s prettiest women. Now all he cares about is getting high. His brother is terrified and the family is scheming to get him into rehab before it’s too late.

HOW DOES KATE HUDSON ESCAPE DRUG-TALK? HER EX CHRIS ROBINSON IS A HEROIN ADDICT AND OWEN WILSON IS A HEROIN ADDICT BUT KATE HUDSON IS AN ANGEL WHO DOES YOGA WITH THEM AND SAVES WHALES IN HER FREE TIME?

    BULLSHIT.

Oh my god! I go away for four days and Owen Wilson tries to kill himself!
I hope he’s alright and this was completely unexpected but I do think that comediens seem more likely to deal with emotional issues and depression than most ‘regular’ (loosely used) actors…look at Robin Williams.

This is awful…I was thinking about this all night. It just goes to show that the people that you think are not likely to do this sort of thing may be really hurting on the inside. I just pray that he gets the help he needs and that the media respects his wishes and gives him just an ounce of privacy. Depression is hard to handle, especially when its being splashed all over the tabloids.

Nac, while I love your comments, I REALLY wish you’d stop the all caps thing.
Wow- heroin….scary shit. I’d never try it, b/c I know I’d love that shit.

I would not blame kate Hudson for any dude’s problems…that is really DUMB.

Hope the dude gets well, he is funny, and very licky to have such successs. The problem is that success does not give meaning to life…as all the sad sad sad celebrities can show.

If it was a suicide attempt it makes me sick that anyone would place blame on someone else in that person’s life. No one is to blame for someone attempting/committing suicide. People can go to a very dark place for many reasons and some don’t get the help they need to work through it.

My father committed suicide but I wouldn’t say that I or anyone else in my family was to blame.

Suicide attempt, drug overdose, or whatever - hopefully he’ll get some help. Sad b/c this happens way too much with just “normal” people, but we only hear about this b/c he is in Hollywood. I’m sick of Lindsey’s problems - get some real help and stay out of the media. She has pics of her in yoga style in upcoming OK mag. She is addicted to being in the media spotlight too!
