Did Madonna borrow a little too heavily from Britney Spears’ diddy ‘Slave to You’ for a song on the 48-year-old singer’s new album?
“Everyone cheered and was excited, but when it started playing, few were dancing,” said our source. “The song sounds almost exactly like Britney’s ‘Slave to You,’ which Pharrell also produced. The response was tepid at best. They need to go back to the drawing board with that one.”
Madge? A creatively unoriginal music thief? Ya’ don’t say!

even though there are some very sool songs because of it, sampling annoys me- why can’t people write original music anymore?
It’s more rare that common- most people seem to rip off or remake songs these days….because it is more about the looks than the talent now.
go fuck yourself, Madonna is the Queen
and she is 49 not 48, get your facts straight.
this is absolute bullshit
How does Pharrell steal from himself? If he’s the producer does it really matter who the singer is? He’s the one responsible for the music.
It’s “ditty” not “diddy”.
Britney’s song is “Slave 4 U” not “Slave to You.”
“The Beat Goes On” sounds NOTHING like “Slave For You”.
Season is right.
ditty
noun
a short simple song (or the words of a poem intended to be sung)
Well… Timbaland did kind of the same thing with JT’s song Sexyback and then his own, The Way I Are. Sampling from himself. Heh.
Madonna has been known to be into the sampling in recent years. I think its cool when hits from the past are sampled but I’m a Slave 4 U is still a bit recent to be bringing back up again. I think that was one of Brit’s best songs so I’m not surprised she wanted to use ideas from it. It’s funny that Madonna is copying Britney though, because I always thought it was the other way around.
Poor old Madge. She’s going to have to stick her tongue in Britney’s c***t to get a reaction these days. Shouldn’t be too hard.
Yeah right…and i wonder who Britney copied that from then!
