The 36-year-old actor joined leading figures from the British film industry to commemorate Oscar-winning director Anthony Minghella who died last year.
The late 54-year-old filmmaker looked upon Jude as a “family friend” and Jude said: “I always came out of a film having learnt something. With Anthony by your side you often felt you were learning something that was a lot more than just the surface value of what this film might mean or what the character might mean.”
The two famously worked together on The Talented Mr Ripley.
