Amid news that there will be a new Melrose Place show, the 46-year-old actress says she is unlikely to reprise her role as the deranged Dr. Kimberly Shaw in the forthcoming update of the classic 90s sitcom.
“I’m really busy,” she tells E! “I say never say never, but it’s not the first thing on my mind. I haven’t really thought much about it. I really have almost no opinion except I wish them luck.”
If she hasn’t been thinking about the show, what has Marcia’s mind been busy focusing on? Her husband Tom Mahoney’s cancer battle.
Few details about the 51-year-old stockbroker’s condition have been released, but Marcia’s mother Janet says her daughter is devastated. She tells Britain’s Closer magazine, “It’s heart-breaking to see Tom so ill — he’s got a big battle ahead of him. It just breaks my heart that they have only just found each other fairly recently, and he might not be around to watch his kids grow up. They are the most romantic pair too. I just hope Tom gets better, so they can have a normal life again. His chemotherapy has been so grueling and it’s been tough but they’re in love and doing the best they can.”
Marcia’s previous partner Richard Jordan died of a brain tumor in 1993.

She’s such a beautiful woman. I hope her husband can win over the cancer, for her and their little children. I wish them the best of luck.
goodness..what a bad string of luck she has…she seems nice
Wow. I had no idea she’d already lost one person. That’s sad.
