Tyra Banks has just issued a statement about the weekend melee that broke out at the New York auditions for shorties vying to be America’s Next Top Model.
“To all the Top Model hopefuls who were affected by the New York casting, we are doing everything we can to make sure that ALL the girls who weren’t seen, get an opportunity to audition – we’ll update you on our plans very soon. It is so important to me to redefine beauty, and make sure that everyone gets a fair chance to pursue their dream. I am beyond excited for Cycle 13; for the first time ever, young women 5′7″ and under have a shot at becoming America’s Next Top Model! I encourage each girl to come out ready to rock the runway and show off their fiercest pose. I’m rooting for all of you!”

And i’m not liking the 5″7 idea, surely if the wannabe model is good enough they would win regardless? I mean I would rather win against every type of model (plus size, tall ect.)
i have always dreamed of being a model and you have encouraged me to become one but im too young and Ive already started practicing and yes you will be seeing me competing against other people on you show in a few years. well in alot of years only if your show goes on which i hope happens causes i always wanted to become AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL!

Tyra is wasting our time. Really worthwhile models will find their way to auditions in Los Angeles or elsewhere. No need to give NYC hoodrats another chance they’re too black and too fat.
