The embattled songstress was spotted in New York over the weekend. She’s in town for meetings about upcoming projects, one of which is a proposed remake of 1992’s Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner flick, The Bodyguard.
Rihanna would be taking on Whitney’s role, of course, while Channing Tatum’s name has been floated for Costner’s role.

I love the Bodyguard and if it was remade they would have to do a really job of it and hire actual actors not just little teen popstars like Rihanna to be part of it. She is a gorgeous girl but her voice is beyond annoying and the movie would just end up being like another ‘Step Up’ kind of crappy movie. I don’t think remaking it is a wise choice.
