Maria Sharapova ain’t the only one cashing in a little pre-USA Open fashion extravanganza.
Venus Williams has confirmed her status as a full-fledged celebrity by launching her very own clothing line.
Following in the footsteps of Sarah Jessica Parker (Bitten) and more recently Amanda Bynes (Dear), Venus has agreed to create EleVen, an exclusive range of sports and loungwear for the US retailer. Just like her celebrity designer counterparts, all items will be priced $20 or less.
When the Wimbledon champ steps onto the court Monday night, she’ll be rocking an outfit and shoes from her new label.
As for who you can blame for the recent influx of cheap celebirty designed duds, may I point you to budget-minded retailer Steve & Barry’s. They’re the folks behind Bitten, Dear and now EleVen.

Can’t believe that I actually think this one is hotter than her sister. I usually thought it was the other way, but then Serena got on some pimp juice and now bitch looks like a dude.
“DO YOU WANT THIS WOMAN TO DRESS YOU?”
Not really, no.
Her Tennis line failed. Why would this do better?
she looks great here!
i don’t mind celebrities creating clothing lines or perfume. alot of it may be junk, but you might find a few gems.. besides, you can never have too many choices. the more the merrier!
At least it’s cheap.
The answer is no. I’m rather sick of celebrities slapping their names on “high-end” garbage - House of Daeron, anyone? Most celebrities don’t exhibit their own personal style - they have shoppers, dressers, blah blah blah. It’s just more crap to wade through.
