Maria Sharapova is a vision of hot red hot style as she poses amid New York City’s famous skyline on Wednesday.
When the Russian-born beauty defends her U.S. Open title next week, she’ll be rocking tennis dresses decorated with graphic interpretations of New York’s skyline using over 600 Swarovski crystals.
The designs, created in collaboration with Nike senior designer Colleen Sandieson, were shown off at a news conference today.
Like last year, Maria will have one outfit dedicated for day play and another for night matches.
As far as tennis dresses go (and that’s not very far), these latest fashion forward frocks a mildly palatable, n’est-ce pas?

She looks cute! That tennis dress has quite a lot of style to it. I don’t like Nike though, its a known fact that all of their merchandise is made in sweat shops. The workers are treated like crap and are paid insufficient wages and aren’t allowed to join unions. Sorry Nike…slavery isn’t fashionable!

I still don’t get the “beauty” part about her…maybe it’s just all of her cheating and some of her shooting her mouth off that influences my opinion. I still like her better than a bunch of other players on the tour, but I guess I just don’t “get it”.
I love the commercial with her dog talking to her and doing tricks.. hee hee.. love the little accent on the dog.. ok, that’s really all I have to say about Maria
I admire her because she worked her ass off to become one the best tennis players in the world and did by the time she was 18 !!!! (now 20) Takes a certain kind of drive and dedication to do something like that. I still hope she gets a chance to beat that Maroon Five guy’s ass……..
The Levine “interview” was made-up. It ran in a satirical publication. Can’t believe how gullible people are. Maroon 5 were hired to play at Sharapova’s 18th (corporate-sponsored) birthday party. They did not date.
