IF YOU DIDN’T LOVE ALI BEFORE, YOU WILL NOW

Sure, it maybe be standard protocol to sit for hours in styling chairs and endure all kinds of pulling
and prodding to prepare for the Emmy Awards, but Ali Larter stands alone.

At a self-esteem workshop surrounded by a bunch of young Girl Scouts, the ‘Heroes’ stunner announced today that in collaboration with Dove Hair Care she is taking a stand for real beauty by “going real” on the red carpet. Ali is — are you ready for it? — forgoing the usual pre-awards show professional hairstyling routine by creating her own hairstyle, sans a team of stylists.

The 31-year-old actress’ goal is to inspire women to start loving the hair they have and not compare it to the unattainable images they see in the media and Hollywood.

she’s got straight hair so all she has to do is wash it and blow it out for it to look good. us curly girlies have it tougher…

That is great and all but when your hair is already that nice because of your stylist then you are ok to do it yourself for one day. It is a nice gesture but come on now.

it’s a nice gesture she’s doing, but i know what you all mean.
i give her props for taking the time to spend it with these girls.

THATS EXACTLY what Cameron Diaz should do next time she wants to get on her high horse and bitch about ‘natural beauty’ or ‘ageing gracefully’ and I’m glad that Ali is doing this because she’s actually putting her money where her mouth is.

That’s not a very big deal. I often do my own hair before I go out anyway purely because I don’t like it as straight as the stylist always does it….I need more volume than they can give me. I’m sure her hair will look pretty much the same as it normally does…it doesn’t take a genius to blow out and straighten hair. When I first started reading I thought she was gonna go sans makeup or something…now THAT would be a huge deal.

Well its a small step but its a step in Hollywood none the less which when you think about it…is quite sad

She’s so gorgeous, she can afford to forgo a professional stylist. Other celebs just aren’t as naturally beautiful.
