Rocking a sexy ringmaster costume and directing a colourful cast of jugglers, acrobats and martial arts dancers, Britney Spears delivered a seamless performance last night (March 3) as she kicked off her first concert tour in five years in New Orleans, LA.
The 27-year-old pop princess kicked off the show with the title track to her latest alubm, Circus, before breaking into Piece of Me, which she performed primarily from a cage. She later sizzled sex when she performed Touch of My Hand with two male dancers who were sporting matching blindfolds. Sparkling in black sequins, Miss Spears brought her fans to their feet during a rendition of the song that put her on the global map, Baby One More Time.
Brit-Brit wisely kept the crowd interaction to a minimum, only uttering: “Thank you, New Orleans” to the audience at the end of the nearly two-hour show.

WOWW!!! I want to see more! I’m going to have to hunt down the Britney fansites lol I really CANNOT wait to see her now. I think she looks amazing and she seems like she is having fun performing again which is awesome to see. I really do think she was just going through a rough time in her life and she had a lot of personal shit going on that kept her from enjoying what she does best. And I know she will get criticised for lip synching but she puts on such an amazing show with the set, costumes and dancing…THAT is what she is famous for and that’s why people go to her show! YAYY!!!

It looks to be a great Vegas style show–it’s just to bad she can’t really sing worth a damn but I guess all the electronic enhancement and dance numbers cover that up pretty well–reminds me a little of Madonna’s shows..
I read in a review that she mainly walked around the stage (obviously lip-synching). I guess all the extravagant shit was to take the focus off her. Apparently she seemed as if she didn’t want to be there.
One review said “she made the Pussycat Dolls look like nuns”.
She would have no show with her clothes on!!

She’s a piece of manufacted s***, she has never had any talent. Yes she used to be able to move, but so can her back-up dancers! If not better, so that ain’t an excuse. Her fans act as if it’s hard to walk around lip-synching and “one….two…three…Look left - STOP” haha.
She never could dance if you ask me, copying janet J’s moves with the chair and all. Please leave Britney and go home and be a mother to your 2 young ones.. read them a book and stop with the nanny (raising) your kids syndrome! Just buy her records. Who wants to sit through 2 hours of lip-synching??????? Even during the SLOW songs she doesn’t sing live, so that excuse that “she’s dancing and putting on a show!” is just bullshit. SHE CANNOT DO IT without a ton of digital help with her piss-poor, thin voice.
Her fans must have really low expectations because most of the reviewers are saying the show was kind of lame with the wooden moves and the incessant lipsynching. In other words, same old Britney.
I never thought I’d care one bit for Britney to get better or worse. I do have to admit I’m pleased she’s gotten help and is trying to get grow up. Still, I’ve always seen her as mediocre at best. She really can’t dance and barely can sing, so why in this economy are people so anxious to see a lip-synching, clumsy dancer? Cuz it’s provocative? Lame.
