Kelly Clarkson dropped by the Toronto set of MuchMusic’s ‘Much On Demand’ yesterday to promote her upcoming appearance on ‘Canadian Idol’ . She will perform on tonight’s big results show.

The ‘American Idol’ queen said last night that the talent show’s Canadian version is far superior to the one she starred on.

On CTV’s ‘eTalk’, Kelly told vapid co-host Ben Mulroney, “Your Idol is so much better! They don’t let you near instruments on American Idol.” She added: “Yours is so cool.”

Damning words indeed!

    I love her I really do but it seems like she is having an identity crisis lately. It is like she doesn’t know who she is or what she wants to look like.

    she didn’t say the show was superior, just that they could use instruments. she’s not bashing ai. what’s the big deal?

    I think AI contests should play instruments. She looks fine, but she is having a identiy crisis- she wants to experiment but the record company won’t let her

    Considering Simon Fuller owns the right to every Idol show-and there is no way she doesn’t know that- I don’t think it was a put down, just mentioned the difference and her preference for it.

    Poor girl she’s really on the way to the end of her career. I used to think she was really talented and had a great voice but her latest song is just so annoying and instead of singing she seems to have been sucked in to this screaming trend that is going around. Xtina is the only one that can pull it off…deal with it. She’s not looking good either…the hair is just not flattering and she has let herself go. I hope the reason why people are not interested in her anymore is because of her music and not because of her looks. It might be harsh but that’s the way the industry is- you gotta have the whole package. If you don’t they will replace you with somebody else who does.

    Let herself go, plzzzzzzzzz…… you people are all just jealous she is georgeous and one of the most down to earth people out there. Sweet, happy, funny and full of life…………..dont you wish you had one?
