OFF THE BEATEN PATH

After filling the tank of her Audi A6 near her home in Seal Beach, CA, Sandra Bullock and husband Jesse James packed up their truck, said goodbye to their dogs and Jesse’s children (11-year-old Jesse Jr. and daughters Chandler, 14, and Sunny, 5) and enjoyed an afternoon of off-roading on their dirt bikes on Sunday (March 1).

While they were clearly having the times of their lives, the good times will soon come to an end when Sandra begins production of Blindside, a sports dramady directed by John Lee Hancock.

The film, based on Michael Lewis’ best-selling novel, The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game, is the true story of football player Michael Oher, the starting left tackle for the Ole Miss football team from 2004-2008. It follows Oher’s impoverished upbringings through his years at Briarcrest Christian School and on to his current position as one of the most highly coveted prospects in college football.

Sandra plays the role of Leigh Anne Touhy, a matriarch of an affluent suburban family which takes in Oher, a black teen from a broken home, as they see a lot of potential in him.

But in the meantime, the 44-year-old actress can next be seen in the comedy film The Proposal with co-star Ryan Reynolds and All About Steve from 20th Century Fox.
