Mega-stars Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are in Toronto today to unveil a star-studded affair coming to two major Canadian cities in 2008.
While it seems Toronto could likely support two major Bollywood events at the same time, sources claim the simultaneous productions could face other problems. The rumoured rift between the two Bollywood dynasties — the Khans and the Bachchans — regularly makes headlines in India.

And by the way, a search for her name turns up many accounts of her questionable tactics in getting and staying on top (pretty will only get you so far - the girl isn’t THAT talented). I’ve worked in LA in the film and tv business for years with producers and heads of studios. It thrives on people (on BOTH sides of the fence - men, women - actors and studio execs) doing any and everything they have to do to get to the top as much as it thrives on people like you who are so fucking naive that you buy into the bullshit (like Britney Spears being talented and sexy). There are people who make it on the merits of her talent - she’s not one of them. She had a lot of help by using her beauty and sexuality. And THAT will NEVER go away. Grow up sweetheart. Agree with you supernova. It’s not that strange for celebs to have a shady past when it comes to how they got where they are today. This is Hollywood and nobody has a perfect past….a lot of people who get praised and even called ‘boring’ and ‘goody-goody’ have some secrets that aren’t so boring. I’ve heard things about Aishwarya as well but you don’t have to beleive it if you don’t want to. She’s a beautiful lady of course but there are a lot of beautiful ladies out there.
I was brought up watching Bollywood movies (parents come from Southern Asia) and I’ve heard quite a few rumours surrounding Aish and the casting couch, so what supernova is saying isn’t actually recent at all.
BTW. most people in Bollywood get into the industry through two means - sex or nepotism.
Know her personally? I do and very well. Nevertheless - she is what she is - gorgeous, lovely and kind. Very happily married and on top of the world.

I have read many non-Indian and people who are not familiar with bollywood commenting on Bollywood actresses in particular, Ash. Many, almost 99% of them are confused. They say, “Hey I read Ash slept with so and so” when in truth, it WASNT Ash, it was SOMEONE ELSE. Also, I have come across people posting pictures of “THE UGLY ASH” or the “SEXY, BITCHY ASH”
when in fact those are pictures of ANOTHER bollywood actress, not hers!
