The Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt/Jennifer Aniston Oscar showdown was all the talk on The View today.

A loud and proud Elisabeth Hasselbeck proclaimed that when Jen was up onstage presenting and the camera cut to Angelina Jolie, “I was dying! I wanted to run and get my Team Aniston shirt. … That’s painful!”

A wise crackin’ Joy Behar chimed in with: “Angelina was very nice. She didn’t try to adopt Jennifer or anything.”

Said Sherri Shepard: “I’m surprised Aniston didn’t want to take one of those Oscars and whip it right out there (at Angelina).”

“I’m surprised they didn’t write it in. ‘Hi, Angie!,” said Elisabeth. Which prompted Barbara Walters to say, “At that point you missed a comedian (as host), who might have made a crack about it.”

    Are you kidding me? The so-called Oscar “run-in” was a complete non-issue and this panel of wind-bags only increased their irrelevance by bringing attention to it.

    Sara, although I am embarrassed to admit this, I watched the entire show and Elisabeth and Sherri were on Aniston’s side, the other two not so much. I’d expect Sherri to feel the way she did considering her husband impregnated another woman while married to her and Hasselbeck is the exact demographic that Aniston appeals to, so no surprise there. Although she spent most of the segment talking about how attractive Jolie is and that’s what made it more difficult for Aniston. So, once again it’s pity not support.
